Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve efficiency in steam turbine by dropping cooling water temperature at the inlet port of a condenser with use of sea water cooled off by heat exchanging with low temperature liquefied gas.
CONSTITUTION: Sea water is sent as thermal source in order to carburet low temperature liquefied gas through a water intake port 13 by a sea-water pump 10 for a carburetor. Sea water cooled off in the carburetor 3 passes through a sea-water mixing pipe 12 at the outlet port of the carburetor, which mixes with cooling water of a condenser 8 supplied from a circulating water pump 11, and temperature of cooling water drops. Steam exhausted through a steam turbine 7 is condensed by a condenser 8 and re-sent to the boiler by a water pump 9. In consequence, vacuum degree is improved, efficiency of the steam turbine 7 is improved, and volume of a circulating water pump 11 can be minimized by dropping cooling water temperature at the outlet port of the condenser.
