Abstract

PURPOSE: To retain heat exchanging efficiency of a humidity sensitive type cooling tower high and constant for long term by providing a heat pipe from a hot water reservoir toward a dry air intake space.
CONSTITUTION: Hot water pumped by a pump P of a humidity sensitive type cooling tower CT is introduced into a sprinkler tube D2 and into a hot water tank D3. Heat pipes D4 with fins are provided at the tube D2 to thus transmit partially the quantity of heat of hot water in a heat exchanging air passage D1 to air flowing into the passage D1 and having relatively low temperature. Accordingly, the hot water flown through the tube D2 into a hot water tank D3 is cooled. The cooling degree of the hot water depends upon the quantity of heat dissipated from the heat pipe D4. Since the heat pipe D4 is employed as heat exchanging means, it does not occur jamming and scale in the tube to thereby retain the heat exchanging efficiency of the cooling tower high and constant for long term.
