Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the thermal efficiency and hot water storage capacity of a hot water feeder in which heat exchange is effected by high-temperature water, by conducting the heat exchange to heat water in an inner casing contained in an outer casing, inducing the heated wate out of the inner casing into the outer casing to store the heated water therein and providing the outer casing with a hot water outlet port. CONSTITUTION:High-temperature water is caused to flow through a heat exchanger. Water is introduced into an inner casing 2 from a cool water inlet pipe 21 and heated in the inner casing through heat exchange tubes 13, 13. Since the cross- sectional area of the fluid passage in the inner casing 2 is small, the flowing velocity of the water in the casing can be made high enough to enhance the rate of the heat exchange through the tubes 13. The heated water flows into an outer casing 3 through a heated water outlet port 22 and is stored in the outer casing. Said system results in heightening efficiency and hot water storage capacity.
