Abstract
PURPOSE: To evade mixing of upper and lower hot water and cool water by providing upper and lower partition plates in the vicinities of upper and lower end plates of the heat accumulating tank to form a hot water chamber and a cool water chamber and causing hot water and cool water to flow into these chambers by accompanying a turning movement.
CONSTITUTION: An upper partition plate 15 is provided in the vicinity of an upper end plate 13 of the heat accumulating tank 11 to from a hot water chamber 16 between the upper partition plate 15 and the upper end plate 13. Further, the lower partition plate 17 is provided in the vicinity of a lower end plate 14 to form a cool water chamber 18 between the lower partition plate 17 and the lower end plate 14. The tip end 25a of a hot water inlet pipe 25 fitted to a hot water chamber 16 and the tip end of a city water supply pipe 26 are bent so that these tip ends are coincident with the circumferential direction of the drum 12 of the water accumulating tank 11. Hot water introduced from a hot water inlet pipe 26 to the hot water chamber 16 flows in a vortex shape as shown by dotted line and flows towards a center opening 15a. The borderline of the temperature of the water stream in a region between partition plates 15 and 20 becomes substantially parallel. As a result, the mixing of the hot water with the cold water can be evaded and the temperature lamination can be established.
