Abstract

1494568 Liquid heating boiler AIR-OMULDER BV 11 March 1975 [27 March 1974] 10153/75 Heading F4A A liquid heating boiler in which hot gases from burners 3 (gas or oil fired) discharge across a heat exchanger 2 is provided with an air inlet path whose vertical extent h is designed to be approximately the same as the gas outlet path H. As shown gas passages 12 extend from the burners through a water reservoir to an outlet 9, and air for the boilers enters at an inlet 8 and passes down through an annular region 11 between the reservoir and the boiler casing 1. Vertical partitions 13 are provided in this region 11 to prevent rotation of the air. In another embodiment (Figs. 1, 2, not shown) the boiler is rectangular, not circular, in section.
