Abstract

561,655. Heating water. DARBY, H. G. Nov. 25, 1942, No. 16709. [Class 64 (i)] Water circulating from a storage tank 16 through a vertical pipe 13 in a casing 11 is heated by a burner 20 from which hot gases. flow upwards through the casing in a zigzag path around inclined baffles 33 extending across the casing and terminating at their upper edges short of one side of the casing. Radial fins 38 are provided at the upper end of the casing.
