Abstract

528,890. Promoting water circulation in boilers. WATTS, A. E. May 16, 1939, No. 14638. [Class 123 (ii)] To assist circulation a container 10 secured to one end of a boiler 14 is supplied with water through an inlet 11 connected with the boiler circulating system, outlet pipes 16, 17 delivering the heated water into the upper part of narrow passages in the boiler formed by baffles 19, 20. The boiler water is thus caused to swirl and flush the walls. The container may form the end wall of the furnace flue.
