Abstract
426,381. Heating water. SULZER FRERES SOC. ANON., Winterthur, Switzerland. June 20, 1934, No. 18221. Convention date, June 23, 1933. [Class 64 (i)] Boilers for central heating systems comprise a casing with a water jacket 13 having a water inlet 11 and outlet 12, and an inner boiler consisting ot several separate flattened containers arranged within the casing side by side in vertical planes and fed by a common supply pipe 6 passing through the casing and communicating through a manifold 3 and pipes 2 with the back lower edge of the containers 1, water being delivered through pipes 4 and a manifold 5 to a common outlet 7 passing through the water jacket 13. Each container has internal baffles guiding the water flow. The pipes 2 may be in contact to form a guide for the flue gas. The pipes 2, 4 are flattened at the ends connected to the pipes 3, 5 to give access to the joints, which are welded, each container 1 with pipes 2, 4 being replaceable. The grate 15 may be cooled by circulating water.
