Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of visible steam, by connecting an external air intake duct to an exhaust section coupled to a common exhaust duct and placing the ends of heat pipes in the exhaust section and a gas passage of the external air intake duct.
CONSTITUTION: The external air intake duct 13 is connected to the exhaust section 12 in parallel with a heat exchanger 11. The duct 13 and the exhaust section 12 are coupled to the common exhaust duct 14. The ends of the several heat pipes 16 are placed in the external air intake duct 13 and the exhaust section 12. Air introduced through external air intake ports 20 gets to contain almost satulated steam generated by sprinkling water over the water sprinkling and evaporation heat exchanger 11 and rises into contact with the heat pipes 16 so that the air is cooled and the steam is condensed to water which drops from the heat pipes. As a result, the temperature of the ends of the heat pipes in the external air intake duct 13 becomes higher than that of the external air. Therefore, the external air sucked into the duct 13 is heated and then mixed with the former air whose temperature and pressure are reduced at the inner ends of the heat pipes. The mixed air is discharged.
