Abstract

PURPOSE: A finned pipe characterized by that the fins are corrugated with an altitude smaller than that of those corrugated fins commonly used. With the fins of this incention, reactance to the fluid flowing outside the pipe is minimized to prevent useless stagnation and, instead, effective turbulences are set up in the fluid flow; so that the heat transfer rate through the surfaces of fins is improved.
