Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve thermal efficiency through utilization of thermal energy for evaporation of liquid in a boiling tank in a vacuum distillation device for recovering pure liquid by compressing and heating the vapor generated in the tank to high temp., and passing the same in a heat exchanger provided in the tank.
CONSTITUTION: Mixed liquids 12 are put in a boiling tank 11, and the internal pressure of the inside of the tank 11 and a vapor pipe 21 are made negative by a compressor 22. A valve 16 opened to supply steam into a heating chamber 15 and to generate steam from the liquids 12. The vapor having thermal energy is passed through the compressor 22 by which it is compressed and heated to high temps. The high temp. vapor is passed through the cooling tube 24 of the heat exchanger provided in the tank 11 where it is heat exchanged and is liquefied by the release of latent heat. The distilled liquid 27 obtd. by the liquefaction is stored in a vessel 28. The thermal energy obtd. by the heat exchanging during this cycle is utlized for evaporation of the mixed liquids 12 in the tank 11. Thereby, the thermal efficiency in the stage of distillation is improved.
