Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase the flow rate of a high pressure expander and the output of a Rankine cycle by using a part of the high-pressure-expander exhaust gas in a Rankine cycle for a heat source of a secondary medium condensor and a medium preheater and a power source of a low-pressure expander.
CONSTITUTION: LNG is boosted by a pump 2 and vaporized in a primary medium condensor 3. After coming into an expander 6 where expanded up to a specified pressure to produce power, the resulting LNG is overheated by a heater 7 and is supplied for a natural gas consumption equipment 9. On the other hand, the exhaust medium or ethylene of a low-pressure expander 17 is condensed to liquefy. The liquefied medium is boosted by a medium pump 11, preheated in a medium preheater 12 by a part of exhaust from a high-pressure expander 15, and mixed with a part of exhaust from the high-pressure expander, which is boosted by a pump 13. The mixture is evaporated by a medium evaporator 14, overheated, generates power in the high-pressure expander 15 to decrease in temperature, and theb is discharged from the high-pressure expander 15.
