Abstract

The LNG revaporising facility is for gas to be fired in a thermal power station with a conventional closed steam cycle. LNG from an isothermal store is pumped through an intermediate heat exchanger (11) before entering an evaporator (12) discharging to the burner supply line. The evaporator obtains its heat from the steam cycle condenser (5) cooling water; the intermediate heat exchanger from a low boiling-point fluid circuit with a circulating pump (15), evaporator (14) and vapour turbine (13). The hot side of this evaporator is supplied from the LNG evaporator hot side outlet and discharges to the condenser, closing the cooling water loop.
