Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to operate a heat pump cycle without a starting heat source by inserting a starting evaporator between an expansion valve of a heat pump apparatus and an evaporator.
CONSTITUTION: A bypass 29 is formed on the way of a low pressure pipe 7 and a starting evaporator 30 is inserted in the bypass 29. At a starting time, a stop valve 24, 33 of a concentrated liquid pipe 22 and the low pressure pipe 7 are closed and a stop valve 25, 34 of a circulating pipe 23 and the bypass 29 are opened. Then, a stock liquid from a tank 13 is circulated and, at the same time, a compressed gas is introduced into a condenser 3 circulated by a cooling medium such as Freon and the like to spray the stock liquid from a injection pipe 16 into the condenser 3. Thereby, the liquid heated by the latent heat of condensation of the cooling gas is collected in a liquid accumulator 20 and reached to a heat exchanger 28, 32 to supply the heat to a starting evaporator 30. Therefor, the heat pump is effectively operated without taking the starting heat source.
