Abstract

PURPOSE: To expand the operating range of heat pump and enlarge the scope of heating and chilling temperatures by applying two compact circulation pumps capable of increasing water circulation and by minimizing difference in inlet and outlet temperatures of a heat exchanger.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of heat and cold accumulation respectively in a hot water tank 6 and a cold water tank 7 by operating a heat pump 1, circulating pumps P1 and P2 are operated so as to circulate hot water and cold water respectively in the first circulation channel installed via three-way valve 16 and a water/heat exchanger 3 and in the second circulation channel installed via a three- way valve 21 and a water/head exchanger 4. On the other hand, in the case of generating hot water by operating the heat pump 1 in the air-water mode, the circulating pumps P1 and P2 are connected in serial to form a circulation channel via the water/heat exchanger 3, which allows massive circulation of hot water in the hot water tank 6 and is capable of reducing a difference in temperature against the same output of the accumulator, thereby protecting the heat pump 1 from freezing and expanding the range of operation.
