Abstract

PURPOSE: To expand the operating range of heat pump and enlarge the scope of heating and chilling temperatures by applying two compact circulation pumps capable of increasing water circulation and by minimizing difference in inlet and outlet temperatures of a heat exchanger.
CONSTITUTION: Operation of a heat pump 1 in a water-to-water mode enables circulating pumps P1 and P2 to circulate water in a hot water tank 6 and a cold water tank 7 and allows heat to be accumulated in the hot water tank 6 and cold water accumulated in the cold water tank 7. When generating hot water by means of operating the heat pump 1 in the air-to-water mode, a circulating pump P1 on the side of a hot water tank 6 is operated for circulation of water in the hot water tank 6 and a circulating channel is installed via three-way valves 19 and 16 for operation of a circulating pump P2, whereby massive circulation of water in the hot water tank 6 is made available and flow rate can be incresed while reducing a difference in temperature. This process yields water of higher temperature and can make the inner volume of the hot water tank 6 smaller.
