Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce electric power required of a gas compressor, by cooling the sucked gas of the compressor by the evaporation of the coolant liquid of an absorption refrigerating machine, thereafter compressing the cooled gas and using the heat of the compressed high-temperature gas as a heat source for the generator of the refrigerating machine.
CONSTITUTION: Hydrogen gas introduced from a pipe 1 is indirectly cooled by the evaporation of coolant ammonia which flows in the opposite direction to the hydrogen gas in a cooler 2. The cooled hydrogen gas is sucked into a compressor 7 through a pipe 3 and compressed. The compressed gas is discharged through a pipe 8. The discharged high-temperature hydrogen gas flows through a heat transfer tube 10 provided in the generator 9 of an absorption refrigerating machine and gives its own heat to evaporate ammonia in the generator 9. As a result, the temperature of the hydrogen gas is lowered. The gas is discharged through a pipe 11. The temperature of the hydrogen gas is lowered further by the cooling water of another cooler 12. The hydrogen gas is then supplied to a service place or a storage vessel.
