Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a power generating system which can provide a large electric power output with a high efficiency by constituting same such that it utilizes solar heat for a high temperature source and cooling effect of LNG when it evaporates for a low temperature source.
CONSTITUTION: LNG introduced into an LNG evaporator 1 from a pipe effects a heat changing operation there with higher temperature fluid (operating gas) and is changed into NG which is used for thermal power generation and so on. Meanwhile, cooled operating gas is compressed by a compressor 2 and then is introduced into a heat collecting pipe 13 of a heat collector 4 through a recuperator 3. The operating gas is heated by solar heat within the heat collecting pipe 13 and is then introduced into a gas turbine 5 which thus drives a generator 14 connected thereto. The operating gas the temperature of which has been thus lowered within the turbine 5 is thereafter returned into the LNG evaporator 1 by way of the higher side of the recuperator 3 whereafter it circulates through the closed circuit again in a similar manner. According to this system, a relatively large electric power output can be obtained compared with a conventional system which untilizes solar heat or evaporating latent heat of LNG solely by itself.
