Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable distillation of even high-boiling point liquid with high energy efficiency, by transmitting the thermal energy of steam generated in a boiling tank to mixed liquid with a heat exchanger located in the tank, and heating the mixed liquid with distilled liquid.
CONSTITUTION: A compressor 16 is operated to reduce a pressure inside a boiling tank 11 to a negative level. At the start of operation, mixed liquid 12 in the boiling tank 11 is heated at its boiling temperature from the outside to generate steam. The steam is compressed by a compressor 16 to raise its temperature and liquidized during its passage through a cooling pipe 17, so that its latent heat is transmitted to the mixed liquid 12 to evaporate the liquid 12. In addition, when distilled liquid 19 flows through the second heat exchanger 18, the distilled liquid 19 transmits its thermal energy to newly-fed mixed liquid 12. Consequently, the distilled liquid 19 is changed into ordinary-temperature distilled liquid 19, and reserved in a vessel 20. As a result, the recycle of thermal energy can be effectively performed, and distillation of even high-boiling point liquid can be easily performed.
