Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve energy efficiency, by transmitting the thermal energy of steam generated in a boiling tank to mixed liquid with a heat exchanger located inside the boiling tank.
CONSTITUTION: A fixed amount of mixed liquid 12 is introduced into a boiling tank 11 through an inflow plug 14 for the liquid mixture, while internal pressures inside the boiling tank 11 and a steam pipe 17 are kept at a negative level by a compressor 18. At the start of operation, atmospheric pressure inside the boiling tank 11 is reduced slightly lower than that necessary for operation, so that the mixed liquid 12 is boiled to generate steam. Thereafter, the steam is compressed by the compressor 18 to raise its temperature, subjected to heat-exchange during its passage through a cooling pipe 20, and liquefied by discharge of its latent heat. Due to this liquefaction, distilled liquid 23 is generated and reserved in a vessel 24. As a result, thermal energy required for boiling only is applied to the mixed liquid, so that the energy efficiency is improved.
