Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.ビデオ記録・再生装置であって、ビデオ番組を記録媒体に記録し、記録媒体 からビデオ番組を再生するためのドライバを含むビデオ・レコーダと、 制御トラック信号をビデオ番組と共に記録媒体に記録するための制御トラック ・レコーダと、 ビデオ番組を再生するとき制御トラック信号に応答するデコーダであって、該 デコーダはドライバに結合されて、ディジタル・データ形式のプレー符号とスキ ップ符号に応じて少なくとも順方向プレー・モードと順方向スキップ・モードの 間で前記装置を切り替え、スキップ符号のあとに続きかつプレー符号があとに続 くビデオ番組のセクションを選択的にスキップする前記デコーダとを含み、 前記制御トラック信号は周期的な前縁と位相シフトされた後縁を含み、前縁は ビデオ番組を基準とするタイミング信号を表し、後縁はディジタル・データを符 号化するために可変的に位相シフトされ、プレー符号にスキップ符号は制御トラ ック信号中の前記後縁に続くパルスにより表わされる、前記ビデオ記録・再生装 置。 2.プレー符号とスキップ符号が制御トラック信号中の位相が短くされた後縁に 続くパルスにより表わされる請求項1のビデオ記録・再生装置。 3.制御トラック信号の前縁に応答するタイミング手段を含み、該タイミング手 段は所定の最小傾斜を有する前縁を検出するように動作し、タイミング信号とプ レー符号並びにスキップ符号の間の判別をするために最小傾斜より小さい傾斜を 有する前縁を持ったパルスが制御トラックに挿入されている、請求項1記載のビ デオ記録・再生装置。 4.ビデオ番組の再生時に制御トラック信号に応答するデコーダは、ディジタル ・データ中のプレー符号、スキップ符号および巻き戻し符号に応じて、順方向プ レー・モード、順方向スキップ・モード、および巻き戻しモードの間で前記装置 を切り換えるように動作する、請求項1記載のビデオ記録・再生装置。 5.巻き戻し符号に出会うと、少なくともデコーダは動作し、先行するプレー符 号に出会うまで、所定数の繰り返しの間、前記装置を巻き戻しモードに切り替え る、請求項4記載のビデオ記録・再生装置。 6.プレー・コードおよび巻き戻しコードの少なくとも一方が符号化された計数 値を含んでおり、所定の繰り返し数は符号化された計数値により表わされる、請 求項5記載のビデオ記録・再生装置。 7.ディジタル・データ中のプレー・コード、スキップ・コード、および巻き戻 しコードは、ディジタル・ビット・ストリーム中に含まれる複数のビットにより 表わされ、所定数が前記複数のビットでディジタル・ビット・ストリームにおい て符号化される請求項4記載のビデオ記録・再生装置。 8.ビデオ番組の再生時に、プレー・コード、スキップ・コード・巻き戻しコー ドを挿入したり削除したりする、ユーザにより操作される手段を含む、請求項1 記載のビデオ記録・再生装置。 9.ビデオ番組の再生時に、プレー符号、スキップ符号、および巻戻し符号の挿 入動作と削除動作の少なくとも一方の動作のために使用者が操作可能であり、か つビデオ番組の再生時に所定数を変えるためにユーザが操作可能な手段を含んで おり、制御トラック・レコーダは、プレー・コード、スキップ・コード、巻戻し コード、および所定値の少なくとも1つを上書きするために動作可能である、請 求項4記載のビデオ記録・再生装置。 10.コード挿入動作、コード削除動作、および所定数を変更する動作の少なく とも1つについて、制御トラック・レコーダはユーザが操作することのできる手 段に応答する、請求項9記載のビデオ記録・再生装置。 11.ユーザが操作可能な手段はビデオ記録・再生装置により発生され、そのユ ーザ用のセグメントに表示されるメニュー・スクリーンを含んでいる、請求項1 0記載のビデオ記録・再生装置。
