Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.一定量の木材を収容するためのマイクロ波キャビティを形成しているハウジ ングと、キャビティ内にマイクロ波エネルギを導入するようにハウジングに連結 されたマイクロ波発生器と、キャビティ内の木材の温度を感知するように構成さ れた温度感知手段及びキャビティ内の木材の重量を感知する重量感知手段の両方 またはいずれか一方と、感知温度及び重量の両方またはいずれか一方に応じてマ イクロ波発生器のパワー出力を変化させる制御手段とを備えた木材乾燥装置。 2.空気をキャビティ内で移動させることによってキャビティ内の湿度及び空気 温度の両方またはいずれか一方を調整するように構成された換気手段を備えてい る請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置。 3.換気手段は、キャビティの空気入口及び出口の両方またはいずれか一方に湿 度センサを含み、湿度センサによって感知された湿度は、換気手段用の制御入力 として使用される請求の範囲第2項に記載の装置。 4.木材をキャビティ内に支持するように構成された木材キャリッジを備えてい る先行の請求の範囲のいずれか1項に記載の装置。 5.キャリッジは、それによって支持されている木材への振動運動の付与及びキ ャビティ内での木材の回転の両方またはいずれか一方を行うことができる請求の 範囲第4項に記載の装置。 6.キャビティ内でのマイクロ波エネルギの空間的分散を変えるために使用でき るように構成された撹拌手段を備えている先行の請求の範囲のいずれか1項に記 載の装置。 7.乾燥のために木材の搬入及び搬出を行うための閉鎖可能な開口を備えている 先行の請求の範囲のいずれか1項に記載の装置。 8.キャビティに複数の閉鎖可能な開口が形成されており、開放可能な開口を介 してキャビティ内への新しい木材の搬入及びキャビティからの木材の搬出を定期 的に行うことによって連続的に動作できるようにした請求の範囲第7項に記載の 装置。 9.温度感知手段は、キャビティ内の木材の表面温度を測定できるように構成さ れた少なくとも1つの赤外線高温計を含む先行の請求の範囲のいずれか1項に記 載の装置。 10.温度感知手段は少なくとも1つの光ファイバ温度センサを含む先行の請求 の範囲のいずれか1項に記載の装置。 11.制御手段は、キャビティ内の木材の重量の変化率の値を感知重量から算出 することによって木材の乾燥率の値を算出することができる先行の請求の範囲の いずれか1項に記載の装置。 12.制御手段は、木材の乾燥率を所定の最大値より低く維持することができる ようにマイクロ波発生源のパワー出力を制御するように構成されている請求の範 囲第11項に記載の装置。 13.所定時間にわたって木材の乾燥率がゼロか、所定の最大値より低い時、ま たは乾燥中の全重量損失が所定の最低重量損失以上である時、木材が十分に乾燥 していることを表示できるようにした請求の範囲第11項または第12項に記載 の装置。 14.マイクロ波発生器は異なった幾つかの連続的パワー出力を発生できるよう にした先行の請求の範囲のいずれか1項に記載の装置。 15.木材をマイクロ波キャビティ内に入れる段階と、木材の重量及び温度の両 方またはいずれか一方を繰り返し感知する段階と、感知した重量及び温度の両方 またはいずれか一方に応じてキャビティに連結されたマイクロ波発生器のパワー 出力を制御する段階とを有する、マイクロ波エネルギを使用して木材を乾燥させ る方法。 16.図面を参照しながら以上に記載した構造及び配置の装置。 17.図面を参照しながら以上に記載した方法。
