- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.スクリュー表面の少なくとも一部の接着性が低減されたバレル−スクリュ ー供給装置用スクリュー。 2.有機ポリマー組成物をダイまたは金型へ送給するためのバレル−スクリュ ー供給装置であって、該組成物に対してスクリューの方がバレルよりも弱い接着 性を示すバレル−スクリュー供給装置。 3.スクリュー表面の少なくとも一部が、スクリュー表面上にキャストされる ポリビニルアルコールに対して200kPaよりも小さな室温接着強度を示す請求 項1または2記載のスクリューまたは装置。 4.スクリュー表面がフルオロカーボン製である請求項1から3いずれかに記 載のスクリューまたは装置。 5.スクリュー表面の可使温度が240℃までである請求項1から4いずれか に記載のスクリューまたは装置。 6.バレルに沿ったガス流出口をさらに具有し、スクリューが、スクリューに よって搬送される組成物の体積がスクリューへ最初に供給されたときよりも該ガ ス流出口を通過するときの方が大きくなり、また、介在圧縮作用を発揮するよう な形態を有する請求項1から5いずれかに記載の装置。 7.搬送される組成物が通過するダイをさらに具有し、該ダイが摩擦低減性表 面を有する請求項2から6いずれかに記載の装置。 8.ダイが非接着性で滑らかである請求項7記載の装置。 9.ポリビニルアルコールに対するスクリューおよび/またはダイの室温にお ける動摩擦係数が0.2よりも小さい請求項8記載の装置。 10.装置を長手方向に沿って特定の制御温度または一連の制御温度に保持す る温度制御手段をさらに具有する請求項2から9いずれかに記載の装置。 11.有機ポリマー組成物を加工するか、または可押出性有機ポリマー組成物 をダイもしくは金型へ搬送する方法であって、該組成物を請求項1から10いず れかに記載のバレル−スクリュー供給装置の上流端へ導入する工程を含む方法。 12.熱エネルギーを装置に加えて処理中の組成物を加熱状態に維持する請求 項11記載の方法。 13.(内部で発生した熱量)/(外部から加えた熱量)の比が1よりも小さい請 求項12記載の方法。 14.有機ポリマー組成物が架橋性である請求項1から13いずれかに記載の 方法。 15.有機ポリマー組成物がポリビニルアルコールを含有する請求項1から1 4いずれかに記載の方法。 16.温度が分解温度と微結晶融点よりも高く、架橋温度と化学的分解温度よ りも低い温度である請求項15記載の方法。 17.処理前の組成物が可塑剤13〜27重量%(好ましくはグリセロール1 0〜20%)および水3〜7%含有し、(i)処理前の組成物を225℃で成形した 後、室温での水中に48時間保存したときの膨潤度が、処理後の組成物の膨潤度 の110%を越えず、および/または、(ii)(i)における膨潤後に乾燥した組成 物中の水溶性成分の割合が処理中の値の半分よりも小さく、および/または(iii )組成物の質量流量が処理方法によって少なくとも5%改良され、および/また は、(iv)組成物のMn分子量が処理方法によって10%よりも増大する、請求項 16記載の方法。 18.装置のバレル内におけるポリマー組成物の滞留時間が少なくとも1分間 である請求項12から17いずれかに記載の方法。 19.加工された組成物をダイを通して押出してファイバー(該ファイバーは 所望によりペレットに細断される)またはフィルムを形成させる工程をさらに含 む請求項11から18いずれかに記載の方法。 20.バレル−スクリュー供給装置の上流端への組成物の供給速度を、該組成 物の体積がスクリューの始動時に得られる体積の半分を越えないようにするのに 十分遅くする請求項11から19いずれかに記載の方法。 21.下記の特性を1または2以上有するポリビニルアルコール: (i)着色剤、シリカ、グリセロールおよび/または水以外の添加剤を含有しない 、 (ii)225℃で成形し、次いで室温で蒸留水中に48時間保存した後の膨潤度が 40%(好ましくは42%)を越えない、 (iii)上記の(ii)のように膨潤させ、次いで乾燥させた後の水溶性成分の含有量 が5.8〜6.6質量%(好ましくは6.0〜6.4質量%)になる、および (iv)225℃で呼称荷重10kgの条件下で直径4.2mmのダイを通る組成物の質 量流量が少なくとも20g/minである。 22.ファイバーまたは細断ファイバー形態を有し、13Cn.m.r.によって炭素 −炭素二重結合が検出されないポリビニルアルコール。 23.下記の特性を1または2以上有する請求項22記載のポリビニルアルコ ール。 (i)着色剤、シリカ、グリセロールおよび/または水以外の添加剤を含有しない 、 (ii)225℃で成形し、次いで室温で蒸留水中に48時間保存した後の膨潤度が 40%(好ましくは42%)を越えない、 (iii)上記の(ii)のように膨潤させ、次いで乾燥させた後の水溶性成分の含有量 が5.8〜6.6質量%(好ましくは6.0〜6.4質量%)になる、および (iv)225℃で呼称荷重10kgの条件下で直径4.2mmのダイを通る組成物の質 量流量が少なくとも20g/minである。 24.請求項22または23記載の細断ファイバーをバレル−スクリュー供給 装置へ送給し、該細断ファイバーを射出成形または押出成形によって、例えばフ ィルム形態のポリビニルアルコール製品を製造する方法であって、細断ファイバ ーの温度を240℃よりも高くさせないようにする該製品の製造法。 25.請求項22または23記載の細断ファイバーをバレル−スクリュー供給 装置へ送給し、該細断ファイバーを射出成形または押出成形によって、例えばフ ィルム形態のポリビニルアルコール製品を製造する方法であって、細断ファイバ ーの温度を、組成物をファイバーに加工するときの該組成物の最高温度よりも高 くさせないようにする該製品の製造法。
