Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 芳香族化合物供給原料の発熱液相酸化反応による芳香族カルボン酸の連 続的製造法であって、このとき発熱液相酸化反応からエネルギーを効率的に回収 し、 a) 芳香族化合物供給原料を、水、低分子量モノカルボン酸溶媒、重金属 酸化触媒、および分子状酸素供給源を含んだ液相反応混合物中にて、水、ガス状 副生物、およびガス状低分子量モノカルボン酸溶媒を含んだガス状高圧オーバー ヘッド流れを生成するような反応条件下で芳香族カルボン酸に酸化する工程; b) 前記オーバーヘッド流れから、少なくとも約95重量%の低分子量モノ カルボン酸を高効率分離装置にて除去して、水および酸化反応時に形成されるガ ス状副生物を含んだ第2の高圧オーバーヘッド流れを形成させる工程;および c) 前記第2の高圧オーバーヘッド混合物を、前記第2の高圧オーバーヘ ッド流れからエネルギーを回収するための手段に送る工程; を含む前記製造法。 2. 前記高効率分離装置が高効率蒸留塔である、請求の範囲第1項に記載の 製造法。 3. 前記高効率蒸留塔が少なくとも約30の理論段を有する、請求の範囲第2 項に記載の製造法。 4. 第2の高圧オーバーヘッド混合物からエネルギーを回収するための前記 手段がエキスパンダーである、請求の範囲第1項に記載の製造法。 5. 前記エキスパンダーが発電機に接続されている、請求の範囲第4項に記 載の製造法。 6. 前記芳香族化合物供給原料がパラキシレンであり、前記芳香族カルボン 酸がテレフタル酸である、請求の範囲第1項に記載の製造法。 7. 前記低分子量モノカルボン酸溶媒が酢酸である、請求の範囲第6項に記 載の製造法。 8. 前記高圧オーバーヘッド流れ中の水が芳香族カルボン酸の精製に使用さ れる、請求の範囲第1項に記載の製造法。 9. 芳香族化合物供給原料の発熱液相酸化反応による芳香族カルボン酸の製 造法であって、 a) 芳香族化合物供給原料を、水、低分子量モノカルボン酸溶媒、重金属 酸化触媒、および分子状酸素供給源を含んだ液相反応混合物中にて、水、ガス状 副生物、およびガス状低分子量モノカルボン酸溶媒を含んだガス状オーバーヘッ ド流れを生成するような反応条件下で芳香族カルボン酸に酸化する工程; b) 前記オーバーヘッド流れから、少なくとも約95重量%の低分子量モノ カルボン酸を高効率蒸留塔にて除去して、水および酸化反応時に形成されるガス 状副生物を含んだ第2の高圧オーバーヘッド流れを形成させる工程; c) 液相酸化反応混合物時に生成される反応母液から、工程(a)におい て形成される芳香族カルボン酸を分離して、粗製芳香族カルボン酸を形成させる 工程; d) 粗製芳香族カルボン酸を、水を含んだ精製用溶媒中で高温・高圧にて 精製して、精製芳香族カルボン酸と水を含んだ精製用母液との混合物を形成させ る工程; e) 工程(d)において形成される精製用母液から精製芳香族カルボン酸 を分離し、前記精製用母液の少なくとも一部を前記高効率蒸留塔に再循環させる 工程; を含む前記製造法。 10. 前記芳香族化合物供給原料がパラキシレンであり、前記芳香族カルボン 酸がテレフタル酸である、請求の範囲第9項に記載の製造法。 11. 前記低分子量モノカルボン酸溶媒が酢酸である、請求の範囲第10項に記 載の製造法。 12. 前記高効率蒸留塔が少なくとも30の理論段を有する、請求の範囲第9項 に記載の製造法。 13. 前記精製用溶媒が水である、請求の範囲第9項に記載の製造法。 14. 工程(d)において、粗製芳香族カルボン酸を精製するのに水素を使用 する、請求の範囲第9項に記載の製造法。 15. 前記精製用母液の少なくともほとんどを前記高効率蒸留塔に再循環させ る、請求の範囲第9項に記載の製造法。 16. アルキル芳香族化合物供給原料を、酢酸反応溶媒および水を含んだ反応 混合物中にて、前記芳香族化合物供給原料の液相酸化によって芳香族カルボン酸 に転化させるのに適した反応器装置であって、酸化反応によって生成されるエネ ルギーの効率的な回収を可能とし、 芳香族化合物供給原料の液相酸化を高温にて行うのに適した反応容器; 酢酸と水との混合物を、高効率蒸留塔から出る蒸気中の酢酸含量が約0.5重 量%未満となるよう分離することのできる高効率蒸留塔;および 酸化反応器中の液相酸化反応によって生成される蒸気を前記蒸留塔に送るた めの手段; を含む前記反応器装置。 17. 前記高効率蒸留塔が少なくとも30の理論段を有する、請求の範囲第16項 に記載の反応装置。 18. 前記蒸留塔が、前記蒸留塔に供給される酢酸と水との混合物中の少なく とも約99重量%の酢酸が分離され、前記蒸留塔の頂部からの流出物中に酢酸が存 在しないよう、酢酸を水から分離できる、請求の範囲第16項に記載の反応装置。 19. 前記蒸留塔を出る蒸気からエネルギーを回収するためのエキスパンダー をさらに含む、請求の範囲第16項に記載の反応器装置。 20. 前記エキスパンダーに接続された発電機をさらに含む、請求の範囲第19 項に記載の反応器装置。
