Abstract
Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.ワイヤからステントを形成する方法であって、 (a)前記ワイヤを第1の心棒に巻回する過程と、 (b)前記巻回されたワイヤを加熱してコイル状に巻かれたスプリングを形成す る過程と、 (c)前記コイル状に巻かれたスプリングが十分に冷却された後、前記コイル状 に巻かれたスプリングの巻回方向を反転して前記ステントを形成する過程とを含 むことを特徴とする方法。 2.更に、 (d)前記ステントを第2の心棒上に置く過程と、 (e)前記反転されたコイル状に巻かれたスプリングからなるステントを、この ステントが部分的に弛緩するように十分短い時間だけ再加熱する過程とを含むこ とを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 3.前記第2の心棒が異なるヒートシンク容量を有する少なくとも2つの領域か ら形成され、それによって前記ステントの前記少なくとも2つの領域上に置かれ た部分が、前記再加熱過程の間に異なる程度に弛緩することを特徴とする請求項 2に記載の方法。 4.請求項1の方法によって形成されたステント。 5.請求項2の方法によって形成されたステント。 6.請求項3の方法によって形成されたステント。 7.コイル状に巻かれたワイヤを含むステントであって、 前記ワイヤが、一方の巻回方向に巻かれた少なくとも一つの部分と、反対の巻 回方向に巻かれた少なくとも一つの部分とを有しており、前記ステントの装着が 、前記ステントをカテーテルにきつく巻回し、その後前記ステントが通常の大き さに復帰するのを許容することによってなされることを特徴とするステント。 8.前記ワイヤが2つの部分を有し、前記部分の各々が前記ワイヤの概ね半分を なすことを特徴とする請求項7に記載のステント。 9.請求項7に記載のステントを所望の位置に装着する方法であって、 (a)前記ステントをカテーテルにきつく巻回する過程と、 (b)前記ワイヤの両端点と前記ワイヤ上の少なくとも一つの中間点とを固定す る過程と、 (c)前記ステントを前記ステントが装着されるべき所望の位置に移動する過程 と、 (d)前記両端は固定されたままで、前記ステントの巻きが解かれるように、前 記ワイヤ上の前記中間点の拘束を解く過程と、 (e)前記ワイヤ上の前記両端の拘束を解く過程とを含むことを特徴とする方法 。 10.前記ワイヤが一方の巻回方向に巻かれた少なくとも2つの部分と、反対の 巻回方向に巻かれた少なくとも2つの部分とを有することを特徴とする請求項7 に記載のステ ント。 11.前記ワイヤが、各々概ね一つのループからなる複数の部分を有しているこ とを特徴とする請求項7に記載のステント。 12.前記ステントが、筒状部材を形成するため、柔軟なフィルムに結合されて いることを特徴とする請求項11に記載のステント。 13.ステントを所望の位置に装着する方法であって、 (a)前記ステントをカテーテルにきつく巻回する過程と、 (b)取り外し可能な糸状部材を用いてステント上の少なくとも2つの取り付け 点を固定する過程と、 (c)前記ステントが装着されるべき位置に前記ステントを移動する過程と、 (d)1または複数の前記取り付け点に於いて前記糸状部材を取り外し、それに よって前記取り付け点の拘束を解く過程とを含み、 前記取り外し可能な糸状部材は溶けることができ、前記糸状部材は前記糸状部 材が溶けるように加熱することによって取り外されることを特徴とする方法。 14.ステントがマルテンサイト相からオーステナイト相に変化するように前記 ステントを加熱するとともに、前記相変化を検知する方法であって、 (a)前記ステントを電源に電気的に接続する過程と、 (b)前記ステントに電流を流す過程と、 (c)前記相変化を示す少なくとも1つの電気特性の変化を検知する過程と、 (d)前記変化に応答して前記電流を制御する過程とを含むことを特徴とする方 法。 15.前記電気的特性が電圧降下の変化であることを特徴とする請求項14に記 載の方法。 16.前記電気的特性が電流の変化であることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の 方法。 17.コイル状に巻かれたワイヤを含むステントであって、前記ワイヤが、被覆 材料によって覆われており、それによって、前記ステントが完全に拡開された時 、前記被覆材料の一部が前記ステントの隣り合ったコイルとコイルの間の隙間を 埋めることを特徴とするステント。
