Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 連続気泡を形成する超吸収性重合体物質の複数の相互連結ストラットか らなる重合体フォームであって、 (a)表面積対質量比が少なくとも0.2m2/g; (b)平均気泡サイズ100μm未満、好ましくは50μm未満、より好まし くは20μm未満;および (c)密度0.5g/cm3未満;および好ましくは (d)気泡サイズ分布値5未満、より好ましくは1〜3 を有することを特徴とする、重合体フォーム。 2. 前記超吸収性重合体物質が前記超吸収性重合体物質を生成することがで きる反応体からなり;前記反応体が溶媒に実質上可溶性にさせることができ; 前記溶媒が好ましくは水、実質上水溶性の溶媒、好ましくは低級アルコール、 またはそれらの混合物から選ばれ;前記溶媒がより好ましくは水であり; 前記反応体が好ましくは (a)中和カルボキシル基を含む実質上水溶性の不飽和単量体、好ましくはア クリル酸、マレイン酸、メタクリル酸、フマル酸、イタコン酸、無水マレイン酸 、アクリル酸エチル、アクリル酸ブチル、またはそれらの混合物に由来する単量 体;および (b)前記単量体と反応して、実質上水不溶性の重合体物質を生成できる、実 質上水溶性の内部架橋剤(ただし、該内部架橋剤は、好ましくは少なくとも2個 の重合性二重結合を有する化合物、少なくとも1個の重合性二重結合および前記 単量体と反応性の少なくとも1個の官能基を有する化合物、前記単量体と反応性 の少なくとも2個の官能基を有する化合物、およびイオン結合を形成できる多価 金属化合物から選ばれ、前記内部架橋剤はより好ましくはN,N′−メチレンビ スアクリルアミド、トリアリルアミン、トリアリルホスフェート、および脂肪族 多価アルコールのジグリシジルエーテルまたはポリグリシジルエーテルから選ば れる) からなり; 前記反応体を(i)前記溶媒、および(ii)前記溶媒に実質上不溶性である発 泡剤(ただし、該発泡剤は、好ましくは蒸発温度50℃未満を有する実質上水不 溶性の化合物からなる)の存在下で膨張させて、膨張構造物を形成し; 前記反応体を反応させて、前記溶媒に実質上不溶性である超吸収性重合体物質 を生成し; 前記反応体を好ましくは界面活性剤、開始剤、粘度制御剤、またはそれらの混 合物から選ばれる物質の存在下で膨張させ且つ反応させる、 請求項1に記載の重合体フォーム。 3. フォームを可塑剤によって可撓化する、請求項1または2に記載の重合 体フォーム。 4. 前記重合体物質が外部架橋剤を追加的に含む、前の請求項のいずれか1 項に記載の重合体フォーム。 5. (i)灯心作用ウェブ、および(ii)前の請求項のいずれか1項に記載 の重合体フォーム(ここで、該フォームは好ましくは前記灯心作用ウェブ上に配 置され、より好ましくは不連続パターンで配置されてなる)を具備することを特 徴とする吸収性部材。 6. 液体不浸透性バックシートおよび吸収性芯を具備する吸収性物品であっ て、前記吸収性芯は請求項1なし4のいずれか1項に記載の重合体フォームまた は請求項5に記載の吸収性部材を具備することを特徴とする吸収性物品。 7. 前記バックシートに接合された液体浸透性トップシートを追加的に具備 し、前記吸収性芯が前記トップシートと前記バックシートとの間に配置されてな る、請求項6に記載の吸収性物品。 8. 連続気泡重合体フォームを製造するにあたり、 (I)反応混合物として、 (a)中和カルボキシル基を含む実質上水溶性の不飽和単量体、好ましくはア クリル酸、マレイン酸、メタクリル酸、フマル酸、イタコン酸、無水マレイン酸 、アクリル酸エチル、アクリル酸ブチル、またはそれらの混合物に由来する単量 体; (b)前記単量体と反応して超吸収性重合体物質を生成できる実質上水溶性の 内部架橋剤(ここで、該内部架橋剤は好ましくは少なくとも2個の重合性二重結 合を有する化合物、少なくとも1個の重合性二重結合および前記単量体と反応性 の少なくとも1個の官能基を有する化合物、前記単量体と反応性の少なくとも2 個の官能基を有する化合物、およびイオン結合を形成できる多価金属化合物から 選ばれ、前記内部架橋剤はより好ましくはN,N′−メチレンビスアクリルアミ ド、トリアリルアミン、トリアリルホスフェート、および脂肪族多価アルコール のジグリシジルエーテルまたはポリグリシジルエーテルから選ばれる);および (c)実質上水溶性の溶媒(好ましくは水、低級アルコール、またはそれらの 混合物、より好ましくは水から選ばれる) からなる反応混合物(ここで、該反応混合物は好ましくは可塑剤、界面活性剤、 開始剤、粘度制御剤、またはそれらの混合物から選ばれる物質を追加的に含む) を調製し; (II)実質上水不溶性の発泡剤を前記反応混合物に分散させて、前記反応混合 物中の前記発泡剤の粒子の分散液を調製し(ここで、前記発泡剤は好ましくは蒸 発温度50℃未満を有する); (III)前記分散液を安定化して、前記反応混合物中の前記発泡剤粒子の安定 な分散液を調製し; (IV)前記発泡剤粒子を膨張させて膨張構造物を形成し(ここで、前記膨張は 好ましくは(i)前記の安定な分散液の温度を好ましくは前記発泡剤の蒸発温度 以上、前記反応混合物の活性化温度未満、前記溶媒の蒸発温度未満である温度に 上昇させ、または(ii)前記の安定な分散液上の圧力を減少することからなる) ; (V)前記単量体および前記内部架橋剤を反応させて超吸収性重合体物質を生 成し(ここで、前記反応は好ましくは前記膨張構造物を熱線または光線に付すこ とからなり、より好ましくは前記膨張構造物を前記反応混合物の活性化温度以上 、前記溶媒の蒸発温度未満である温度に加熱することからなる); (VI)前記分散工程(II)、前記安定化工程(III)、前記膨張工程(IV)お よび前記反応工程(V)を制御することにより、前記超吸収性重合体物質の複数 の相互連結ストラットからなる重合体フォームを形成し、連続気泡を形成し、フ ォームが (a)表面積対質量比少なくとも0.2m2/g; (b)平均気泡サイズ10μm未満、好ましくは50μm未満、より好ましく は20μm未満;および (c)密度0.5g/cm3未満;および好ましくは (d)気泡分布値5未満、より好ましくは1〜3 を有する、 前記制御工程(VI)は好ましくは (i)前記粒子が平均粒径10μm未満を有するように前記分散工程(II)で 前記発泡剤粒子の粒径を制御し(ここで、前記粒径制御は好ましくは前記発泡剤 対前記反応混合物の粘度比を制御することからなり、前記粘度比制御は好ましく は粘度制御剤を前記反応混合物に加えることからなる); (ii)前記安定化工程(III)で親水基と疎水基とを有する非イオン界面活性 剤を使用し; (iii)前記の安定な分散液の温度を1℃/分未満の速度で上昇させることに よ って、前記膨張工程(IV)で前記発泡剤粒子を膨張させ; (iv)前記膨張構造物を10℃/分未満の速度で加熱することによって、前記 反応工程(V)で前記単量体および前記内部架橋剤を反応させる、 ことを特徴とする方法。 9. 重合体フォームを外部架橋剤と反応させる工程を追加的に含む、請求項 8に記載の方法。 10. 重合体フォームを外部的に可塑化する工程を追加的に含む、請求項8 または9に記載の方法。
