Abstract

(57)【要約】 【目的】 コストが安く、施工性の良いEF管継手を得
る。 【構成】 継手本体20とこの袖管24とを分離し、袖
管24側のみをインナーとアウター成形して電気ヒータ
ー線26を内蔵し、あとで両者を融着する。 【効果】 袖管24のみをインナーとアウター成形する
ため、金型は小型でよく、又口径が同一である限り袖管
は共通化できるので、製作コストは安く、又、スピゴッ
ト継手方式に比べ融着時間は約1/2となり、施工性が
向上する。

【発明の詳細な説明】

【産業上の利用分野】本発明はプラスチック管(以下
「管」という)を接続する際に用いられる電気融着式管
継手(以下「EF管継手」という)に関する。
【0002】
【従来の技術】EF管継手(ソケット)1は図11に示
すように管2を接続すべき接続口3内に電気ヒーター線
4を内蔵させ、この電気ヒーター線4にコントローラー
5から端子6を介して電圧を印加することにより、電気
ヒーター線4を発熱させ、この熱で管継手1の内面と管
2の外面とを溶融して融着接合させるという接続方式を
採るものである。
【0003】図12はT字型EF管継手の例であるが、
このT字型の場合には分岐口7側には電気ヒーター線4
の内臓がなく、この方はソケット型のEF管継手1を別
に用意し、これで接続する方式である。
【0004】図13はT字型管継手の別の接続法(スピ
ゴット継手方式)で、三方の接続口をすべてソケット型
EF管継手1を用いて接続する方式である。
【0005】図14はエルボ型管継手であって、この場
合もソケット型EF管継手1を用いて接続する方式(ス
ピゴット継手方式)の例である。
【0006】図15はエルボ型のEF管継手の製造法を
示し、先ず(A)に示すようにインナーと称される内管
8を成型し、次に(B)に示すようにこの内管8に所要
の電気ヒーター線4を捲きつけ、次に(C)に示すよう
にこの外にアウターと称される外管9を成形して製品と
するもので、金型は内管8側と外管9側の2組が必要で
ある。なお、この製法は、EF管継手としてのT字型、
ソケット型、レジューサー型、キャップ型のすべてにお
いて同一である。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかし、上記従来の管
継手及びその製法においては次のような欠点がある。
【0008】a.図15で説明したように、インナーを
成形した後その外側にアウターを成形するため、この金
型は一品種について2種類を必要とし、又大口径の場合
には大容量の射出成形機を必要として、製造に時間とコ
ストがかかり、多額の設備投資が必要となる。
【0009】b.図13及び図14で説明したようにす
べてをソケット型EF管継手1で融着接合する場合(ス
ピゴット管継手方式)には、通電回数が増えて作業時間
が長くなる。
【0010】本発明の目的は、製造が簡単で施工に時間
がかからない電気融着式管継手とその製法を提供するこ
とである。
【0011】
【課題を解決するための手段】本発明の構成は次のとお
りである。
【0012】1.袖管付の継手において、継手本体部分
と電気ヒーター線を内蔵した袖管部分とを分離して成形
し、あとで継手本体の袖管口と袖管との接合部を電気ヒ
ーターにより加熱して溶融させたのち、速やかに圧着し
て一体に接合する電気融着式管継手の製法。
【0013】2.継手本体に電気ヒーター線を内蔵した
袖管を融着接合して成る電気融着式管継手。
【0014】なお、継手本体と袖管との接合部は突き合
わせて接合させるようにしてもよいし、一方を他方に嵌
合して接合させるようにしてもよい。又、この嵌合を行
う場合に、袖管側の嵌入部に電気ヒーター線を内蔵させ
ておき、電気ヒーターを使わず、この電気ヒーター線の
発熱で継手本体の接合口内に袖管を融着接合させるよう
にしてもよい。

【作用】継手本体側は射出成形により一度に成形され、
袖管側のみがインナーを成形した後これに電気ヒータ線
を捲きつけてから外側にアウターを成形する。別々に成
形された継手本体と袖管は、その接合部を電気ヒーター
により溶融され、この状態で速やかに圧着されることに
より融着し、製品となる。
【0016】管継手は、現場において袖管の接続口に配
管が嵌入され、コントローラーで電気ヒーター線に電圧
が印加されると、この電気ヒーター線が発熱し、この熱
で袖管の接続口内と管の外表面が融着する。

【実施例】図1において、20はT字型の管継手にし
て、この管継手20は両側に袖管の接合口21を形成
し、分岐側にも接合口21を形成し、射出成形されたも
のである。24は接合口21に接合される袖管にして、
この袖管24は接続口25内に電気ヒーター線26を内
蔵し、外の一部に電極(端子)27を露出させた構造
で、公知のインナー成形とアウター成形により一体に組
み合わせられたものである。この袖管24は図2に示す
ように電気ヒーター28を用いて加熱溶融後、速やかに
圧着される。
【0018】図3はエルボ型管継手29に本発明を実施
した実施例を示し、図4はレジューサー型管継手30に
本発明を実施した実施例を示し、図5はキャップ型管継
手31に本発明を実施した実施例を示すものである。
【0019】図6は継手本体20の接合口21内に袖管
24の嵌合部24′を嵌入することにより接合させた実
施例、図7はエルボ型管継手29、図8はレジューサー
型管継手30、図9はキャップ型管継手31に嵌合部2
4′を嵌入して融着させた実施例である。
【0020】図10はエルボ型管継手29に対して嵌合
部24′付袖管24を融着する場合の説明図である。先
ず、(A)から(B)に示すように、電気ヒーター32
は凸部33と凹部34を有し、凹部34には袖管24の
嵌合部24′を挿入し、凸部33をエルボ型管継手29
の接合口21内に挿入し、同時に加熱したのち、溶融し
たところで(C)に示すように嵌合して融着させる。

【発明の効果】本発明は継手本体と袖管を別々に構成
し、あとで両者を結合させることによりEF管継手を製
造するため、次の如き効果を奏する。
【0022】a.インナー(内管)とアウター(外管)
に別けて成形するのは袖管部分だけとなり、製造が簡単
で、口径が同じ場合にはソケット型、T字型、エルボ
型、レジューサー型、キャップ型等すべて共通で袖管を
製造し、夫々に結合できるので、金型は小型で種類は少
なくて済み、製造コストが非常に安くなり、設備コスト
もかからない。
【0023】b.従来のスピゴット継手方式(図13、
14)に比べ融着時間は半分になる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】 袖管付の継手において、継手本体部分と
    電気ヒーター線を内蔵した袖管部分とを分離して成形
    し、あとで継手本体の袖管口と袖管との接合部を電気ヒ
    ーターにより加熱して溶融させたのち、速やかに圧着し
    て一体に接合する電気融着式管継手の製法。
  2. 【請求項2】 継手本体の袖管口に対して袖管側の一部
    を突き合わせて融着接合する請求項1記載の電気融着式
    管継手の製法。
  3. 【請求項3】 継手本体の袖管口に対して袖管側の一部
    を嵌合させて融着接合する請求項1記載の電気融着式管
    継手の製法。
  4. 【請求項4】 継手本体に電気ヒーター線を内蔵した袖
    管を突き合わせて融着接合して成る電気融着式管継手。
  5. 【請求項5】 継手本体と電気ヒーター線を内蔵した袖
    管を嵌合させて融着接合して成る電気融着式管継手。
