【発明の詳細な説明】

【産業上の利用分野】この発明は合成樹脂部品の接合方
法、特にその熱溶着接合方法に関するものである。
【0002】
【従来の技術】例えば、ポリエチレン,ポリプロピレン
,ABS樹脂,スチレンあるいはポリ塩化ビニル樹脂等
の熱可塑性樹脂の射出成形製品等において、製品形状も
しくは精度上等の理由から一体成形が困難な場合には、
それぞれ別工程で成形した2部品を溶着により接合する
方法が用いられている。図1にその溶着接合の一例を示
す製品接合部要部の破断平面図及び垂直断面図、図3に
その構成2部品のそれぞれ同要部破断平面図及び垂直断
面図を示す。
【0003】図1は、図2に示す板状部品1と図3に示
す蓋状部品2とをかしめ熱溶着により接合したものであ
る。接合前の板状部品1の上面には所定の接合位置にピ
ン3が一体的に立設され、ピン3の下部にはその周囲に
4個のスペーサ部4が設けられている。一方、接合すべ
き蓋状部品2の前記ピン3対応位置には凹部5が設けら
れ、その中央にピン穴6が穿設されている。両部品1,
2の接合に際しては、図1に示すように、ピン1の上部
にピン穴6を挿通して、蓋部品2をスペーサ部4上に載
置し、ピン3の頂部を、電気的または超音波発熱等を利
用した溶着ホーン(その加圧ヘッド部Hのみを示す)を
用いて加熱軟化させた状態で加圧し、鋲頭3a状にかし
め変形させて熱溶着接合したものである。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかしながら、以上の
ような溶着ホーンを用いる接合方法にあっては、熱可塑
性樹脂材料の被加熱溶着部分の仕上がりが光沢状を呈し
、製品の外観面に溶着跡が目立つため、意匠上,外観面
にこの溶着部が出ないように設計しなければならないと
いう制約があった。
【0005】この発明は、以上のような局面にかんがみ
てなされたもので、この種の溶着接合部を外観意匠を損
なうことなく製品の外観部に配設可能として製品設計の
自由度を向上させる手段の提供を目的としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】このため、この発明にお
いては、熱可塑性合成樹脂成形部品の相互溶着接合に用
いる加熱,加圧用の加圧ヘッド表面上に、この部品の成
形用金型のキャビティ面上に施されたシボ加工と実質的
に類似したシボ加工を施した溶着ホーンを用いて前記接
合を実施することにより、前記目的を達成しようとする
ものである。

【作用】以上のような溶着ホーンを用いることにより、
その接合部の溶着跡は本体部品と類似のシボパターンの
仕上がりとなり、外観意匠上の違和感がなくなるため、
この種の接合部を製品外観部に配設することができ、製
品設計の自由度が向上する。

【実施例】以下に、この発明を実施例に基づいて説明す
る。接合製品は、前記図1,2に示したものと同一とす
る。この発明の特徴は、図1において、板状部品1と蓋
状部品2の接合に当り、不図示の溶着ホーンの加圧ヘッ
ドHの加圧表面Ha上に、各部品1,2の射出成形時の
成形用金型(不図示)のキャビティ面上に施されたシボ
加工パターンと実質的に同一もしくは類似したパターン
のシボ加工を施したことにある。
【0009】以上のような加圧ヘッドHの使用により、
加熱/加圧されて成形されたピン3の鋲頭部3aの表面
は、従来例のように光沢面とはならず、本体製品と類似
のシボパターンとなるため、この溶着部を製品外観部に
用いても外観意匠を損なうことがない。なお、以上の例
は、ピン3頂部の溶着かしめ接合の事例を示したが、こ
の発明はこれのみに限定されるものでなく、他の形状の
加圧ヘッドを用いる場合にも適用し得ることはもちろん
である。

【発明の効果】以上説明したように、この発明によれば
、熱可塑性合成樹脂成形部品の溶着ホーンの加圧ヘッド
面に同部品成形用金型のキャピティ面上に施されたシボ
加工と類似パターンのシボ加工を施したため、溶着接合
部は類似のパターンを有することになり、この種の接合
部を製品外観面に配設しても外観意匠を損なうことがな
く、製品設計の自由度が向上する。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】  熱可塑性合成樹脂成形部品の相互溶着
    接合に用いる加熱,加圧用の加圧ヘッド表面上に、この
    部品の表面上に施されたシボ加工と実質的に類似したシ
    ボ加工を施した溶着ホーンを用いて前記接合を実施する
    ことを特徴とする合成樹脂部品の接合方法。
