Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 《産業上の利用分野〉 本発明は放熱用グリース組底物に関し、特に長期にわた
る使用に適した放熱用グリース組成物に関する. 《従来の技術》 従来から、ジメチルボリシロキサンやジメチルジフェニ
ルボリシロキサン、ジメチルデシルメチルボリシロキサ
ン等をベースオイルとして、増稠剤に酸化亜鉛、アルミ
ナ、窒化アルミニウム、窒化ホウ素、炭化珪素等を用い
た放熱用グリース組底物が知られている(特公昭52−
33272号、特開昭62−43492号、同62−4
3493号、特願昭63−307513号). しかしながらこれらの放熱用グリースは、何れの場合も
ベースオイルのクリープ性を抑えることができないため
に、長期にわたって使用した場合にベースオイルが周辺
ににじみ出し、オイル汚れを引き起こしたり、近くにあ
るコンタクトタイプの接点やマイクロモーターのコンξ
テータとプラシ間を汚損し、接点障害やマイクロモータ
ーの回転不良等を引き起こし易いという欠点がある上、
ベースオイルのクリープによって徐々に放熱特性が劣化
するという欠点もあった. 本発明者らは、上記欠点を解決すべく鋭意検討した結果
、ベースオイルに粘着力を付与することによってベース
オイルのクリープ性を抑えることができることを見出し
、本発明に到達した。
《発明が解決しようとする課題〉 従って本発明の第1の目的は、長期に渡って安定した熱
伝導性能を発揮することのできる放熱用グリースtJI
威物を提供することにある.本発明の第2の目的は、長
期に渡って使用した場合でも、周辺にオイル汚れをもた
らしたり、接点障害等の弊害をもたらすことがない信頼
性の高い放熱用グリースを提供することにある。
《課題を解決するための手段〉 本発明の上記の諸目的はオルガノポリシロキサン100
重量部及び増稠剤100〜900重量部からなる放熱用
グリース組底物において、前記オ?ガノボリシロキサン
が、■25℃における粘度が50〜500,000cs
のオルガノポリシロキサン100重量部と■R’ISi
0.7■単位、R”zSi○単位及びSt○,単位から
なり、R’3S i Of/!単位とStow単位との
モル比が0.5:1〜2:1であって、R”,St○単
位が全シロキサン単位の0〜10モル%であるオルガノ
ポリシロキサン1〜300重量部からなると共に、前記
増稠剤が酸化亜鉛、アルミナ、窒化アルミニウム、窒化
ホウ素及び炭化珪素の中から選択される少くともl種で
あることを特徴とする放熱用グリース組或物によって達
威された.上記■のオルガノポリシロキサンは一般式R
.Sio.TL(1.95<a<2.20)で表される
.ここにRは炭素数1〜18より或る飽和又は不飽和の
一価の炭化水素基から選択される1種或いは2種以上の
基である。
上記Rとしては、メチル基、エチル基、プロピル基、ヘ
キシル基、オクチル基、デシル基、ドデシル基、テトラ
デシル基等の飽和炭化水素基、ビ二ル基、フェニル基、
クロロフェニル基等の不飽和炭化水素基が挙げられるが
、特にメチル基、フエニル基及び炭素数6〜l4のアル
キル基等が好ましい。上記オルガノポリシロキサンの2
5゜Cにおける粘度が、50csより低い場合には、■
威分を添加配合しても、得られる放熱用グリース組底物
からオルガノポリシロキサンのクリープを低減化するこ
とが困難となる一方、500,000csより高い場合
には、得られる放熱用グリース組或物に適度な伸展性を
付与するために増稠剤の添加配合量を少く制限しなけれ
ばならない結果充分な放熱性が得られなくなる.本発明
においては、特に100〜200,OOOcsの範囲が
好ましい. ■戒分のオルガノポリシロキサンは、目的の放熱用グリ
ースに適度の粘着性を付与するために必須とされるもの
である, R ’ 3 S i O +7z単位とSi
O2単位とのモル比がo.s:i〜2:lの範囲に限定
されるのは、R ’ 3 S i O Iit単位の割
合が小さすぎると前記の或分との相溶性が劣る一方、大
きすぎると所望する充分な粘着性能を得ることができな
いからである.適度な粘着性を付与することにより、得
られる放熱用グリース組底物からのオルガノポリシロキ
サンのクリープを低減させることができる.■戒分のオ
ルガノポリシロキサンの使用量は、■戒分100.11
部に対して1〜300重量部、好ましくは10〜250
重量部とする。1重量部未満では充分な粘着性を有する
放熱用グリース組或物を得ることができず、300重量
部を超えると得られるグリースが固くなり、使用に耐え
ないものとなる。上記■戒分のオルガノポリシロキサン
は、相当するシラン混合物を公知の方法により加水分解
縮合させることにより得られる. 本発明で使用する増稠剤は熱伝導性の良いものが良く、
例えば、酸化亜鉛、アル貴ナ、窒化アルξニウム、窒化
ホウ素、炭化珪素から選択される1種又は2種以上の無
機化合物粉体を使用することができる。
本発明においては、更に第3戒分として必要に応じて各
種の有機系又は無機系の酸化防止剤、防錆剤、着色顔料
、染料等を添加しても良い.本発明の放熱用グリース組
成物は、■、■戒分からなる第1成分であるオルガノポ
リシロキサンと第2戒分である増稠剤とをプラネタリー
ミキサー等の混合機に計量し、必要ならば加熱して混合
することによって容易に得ることができる。尚混合後、
均一仕上げのための混練操作を行う。
混練装置としては三本ロール、コロイドミル、サンドグ
ラインダー、ガウリンホモジナイザー等があるが、中で
も三本ロールによる方法が好ましい. 本発明の放熱用グリース組或物は、ベースオイルのクリ
ープ性が押さえられているので、放熱機材と放熱板との
間に塗布して使用した場合、長期に渡って安定した熱伝
導性能を発揮することができ、機器の信頼性を大幅に向
上させることができる.又、周辺のオイル汚れや、コン
タクトタイプの接点障害やマイクロモーター等に与える
トラブルを回避することができる.従って、家電製品や
オーディオ製品を初め各種産業用の機器に使用されるト
ランジスターやIC,ダイオード、サーミスター等の放
熱用グリースとして最適である。
《実施例} 以下、本発明を実施例によって更に詳述するが、本発明
はこれによって限定されるものではない.実施例1〜7 第1表に示す如くの、■戒分からなる第1tE分のオル
ガノポリシロキサンを調製した.次に、得られたオルガ
ノポリシロキサンをべ一スオイルとして使用し、第2表
に示す如くベースオイルと増稠剤をプラネタリーξキサ
ー中に計量し、良く混合した後三本ロールによる混線を
3回行って本発明の放熱用グリースを作製した.得られ
たグリースについてJ I S−K−2 2 20「グ
リース」に準じて測定した不混和稠度及び離油度は第2
表に示した通りである. 又、アルミ板(50X150■X0.1m)の片末端に
極く薄くグリースを塗布した後、室温で50日間放置し
た場合のクリープ壱XPS (X−線光電子分光法:ア
ルバックファイ■製ESCA5400型光電子分光分析
装置)にて測定した.熱伝導率は真空理工■製TCW−
1000型熱線法熱伝導率測定装置を用いてJ I S
−R−2 6 18(熱線法)に準じて行った. 比較例l〜3 ベースオイル及び増稠剤として第3表に示したものを所
定量使用した他は実施例と全く同様にしたところ、第3
表の結果を得た。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1.  オルガノポリシロキサン100重量部及び増稠剤10
    0〜900重量部からなる放熱用グリース組成物におい
    て、前記オルガノポリシロキサンが、(1)25℃にお
    ける粘度が50〜500,000csのオルガノポリシ
    ロキサン100重量部と(2)R^1_3SiO_1_
    /_2単位、R^2_2SiO単位(式中R^1及びR
    ^2はアルキル基、アルケニル基、アリール基から選択
    される基)及びSiO_2単位からなり、R^1_3S
    iO_1_/_2単位とSiO_2単位とのモル比が0
    .5:1〜2:1であって、R^2_2SiO単位が全
    シロキサン単位の0〜10モル%であるオルガノポリシ
    ロキサン1〜300重量部からなると共に、前記増稠剤
    が酸化亜鉛、アルミナ、窒化アルミニウム、窒化ホウ素
    及び炭化珪素の中から選択される少くとも1種であるこ
    とを特徴とする放熱用グリース組成物。
