Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 ［産業上の利用分野］ 本発明は使い捨て吸収性製品に関するものであり、特に
着用者に対する製品のフィツトを改訂するため選択的に
配置された使い捨て吸収性製品に関するものである。
［従来技術と問題点］ 使い捨て吸収性製品の業界においては、着用者に対する
製品のフィツトを改善するため種々の試みが成された。
フィツトのよい製品は着用者に快適感を与え、着用者の
皮膚から汚物を分離するのに適当である。皮膚と接触す
る糞はしばしば皮膚の刺激を生じ、着用者の浄化を困難
にする。
これらの問題を解決する試みは米国特許第４．６６２，
８７７号に記載され、この特許に開示のオシメは尿不透
過性対向シートを有し、このシートは汚物をオシメの吸
収性コアの中に通過させるためのアパチュアを備える。
このオシメは、前記対向シートを下層の吸収性コアから
弾発するための弾性ストランドを有する６　しかし、こ
の特許は大きな凸形の長方形のアパチュアに長手方に隣
接して弾性ストランドを施用する事を教示している。こ
の構造は脚開口回りの密封を困難にし、また肛門に対し
てアパチュアを整列させない。
［発明の目的および効果］ 本発明の目的は、使い捨て吸収性製品のフィツトと着用
者の皮膚に接触する糞の問題を回避するにある。
［発明の概要コ 本発明は、長手方軸線と尿不透過性ハックシートとを有
する使い捨て吸収性製＋Ｔ＋　Ｌこ関するものである。
またこの製品は、製品の使用中に着用者の皮膚に隣接す
るライナを有する。このライナは、着用者の汚物を通過
させる通路を有する。吸ＩＬＪ、性コアはライナとバン
クシートとの中間に配置；１される。またこの吸収性製
品は、ライナを長手方に収縮させるために通路に対して
実質的に長手方に隣接しないように配置された手段を有
する。好ましくは実施態様において、前記の長手方Ｉ８
２縮手段は弾性ストランドを含む。
［実施例コ 本発明による使い捨て製品は代表的にはオシメであるが
、月経パッド、失禁成人用製品、またはその他の業界公
知の製品とする一′１「ができる。またこの明細書に記
載の使い捨て製品は業界公知の方法および材料を使用し
て製造する′扛かできる。。
この明細書に記載のオシメは、体重がＨＪ５ｋｇｈ奎約
１１ｋｇの男女の幼児に適当である。本発明のオシメは
着用者のサイズに適合される限り、大きな着用者も小さ
な着用者も着用する事ができる。
第１図は本発明のオシメを開いて平坦にした状態の平面
図であって、この種の吸収性製品の基本的要素、すなわ
ちバックシート１２、吸収性コア１６、ライナ２４およ
びライナ２４に組合わされた長手方収縮手段を備えてい
る。
このオシメ１０は平坦な折り畳まれていない状ｊフで全
体として砂時計状の積層構造を成す。オシメ１０はその
前部から後部に配向された長手方軸線を中心として対称
形を成し、この長手方軸線は製造中のオシメのマシン方
向にだいたい整列する。横方向軸線はオシメの長手方軸
線に直交し、オシメの中点またはその近傍において長手
方軸線と直交する。この明′Ｓ書において、オシメ１０
の前部と後部は横方向軸線によって画成され、横方向軸
線と同一延長であり、着用者から見てオシメの１１７Ｊ
方と後方に位置する部分である。
オシメ１０はバックシート１２を含み、これは好ましく
は尿不透過性で可撓性である。多くの場合、不透明な重
合体シートが使用される。バックシートは着用者の弧状
臀部回りのオシメ組立体のフレームを成し、下記のよう
な他のオシメ成分を保持する。
バックシート１２は着用者の脚の間に通されて、弾性脚
カフス３４によって密封される。全体として米国特許！
３，８６０，００３号に記載された構造のオシメが適当
である。この米国特許を引例として加える。
厚さ約０−０１ｍｍ乃至約０．３ｍｍの低密度ポリエチ
レンシートが代表的であり、約０．０３ｍｍの厚さが好
ましい。約４５ｃｍの長手方サイズと、約３２ｃｍの長
手方縁１４の末端部の間の横方向サイズと、約２０ｃｍ
の長手方縁１４の中心部の横方向サイズとを有するバッ
クシート１２が適当である。
着用者の皮膚に向けられたバックシート１２の面に尿吸
収性コア１６が配置され、このコアは全体的に柔らかで
、快適で、形状合致性である。コア１６はセルローズ繊
維などの任意の尿吸収性材料を含み、代表的にはエアフ
ェルトとして公知の粉砕セルローズ繊維とする。コア１
６はさらに吸収能力を増大するため吸収性ゲル化ポリア
クリレート材料を含有する。
コア１６は、製品の所望の用途１着用時間および容量に
対応して所望量の液体排泄物を吸収し保持するように設
計されている。前記の実施態様において、コア１６は着
用者の尿排泄物を収容するように最小限約３００ｍ１の
容量を有しなければならない。
コア１６はだいたい長方形であって、約３５〜４０ｃｍ
の長さと約１０〜約１５ｃｍの幅の対向面を有するが、
当業者には明らかなようにその他の形状およびサイズの
使用が可能である。コア１６は長手方にバックシート１
２より短く、オシメ１０の横方向縁２０に沿ってそれぞ
れ自由縁部１８を備えている。
コア１６はバックシート１２に対して一体的に固着され
、あるいは周辺のみをバックシート１２に対して固着さ
れ、あるいはハックシート１２に対して固着しない事が
できる。コア１６をバックシート１２に対して固着する
事が望ましい場合には、オハイオ、コロンバス、センチ
ュリアドヘツシブ社又のＣｃｎｔｕｒｙ　５２２７など
の適当な尿安定性接着剤を使用する事ができる。
コア１６がその位置において変形する事なく、塊状とな
り、破断しあるいはその厚さの変動を生じない事が好ま
しい。さもなければ、着用者に対する不快感と不均一な
吸収容量とを生じるであろう。
コア１６に安定性を与えこのようなコア均一性の破壊を
防止するため、コア１６を外皮２２によって固く被覆す
る事ができる。この外皮２２はコア１６の片面または両
面を被覆し、前記の接着剤によってその外周または全体
をバックシートに対して固着する事ができる。外皮２２
は約０．２５ｍｍのキャリパと約１６．７ｇｍ／　ｓｑ
、ｍ、の坪量とを有するスパンボンド処理またはカーシ
ング処理された任意の尿不透過性材料をもって製造する
事ができる。
吸収性コア１６　（または外皮２２）の着用者側面に尿
透過性の、非吸収性弾性ライナ２４が配置されている。
このライナ２４は柔らかで皮膚に対して非刺激性である
。この場合、ライナ２４は、前記の外皮２２の材料など
の不織布で製造する事ができ、あるいは吸収性コア１６
まで尿を透過させるパーフォレーションを有する成形ポ
リオレフィンフィルムシートとする事ができる。この場
合、ライナ２４の一部が尿不透過性であっても、尿を透
過させる区域または部分を有すれば尿透過性とみなされ
る。
ライナ２４はだいたいにバックシート１２のサイズと形
状に対応している。ライナ２４はバンクシート１２の外
周に対して少なくとも部分的に、好ましくは外周全体に
沿って固着され、コア１６をライナ２４とバックシート
１２との間に積層する事が好ましい。
ライナ２４はバックシート１２に対して、接着剤、加熱
密封または超音波溶着など、任意公知の手段によって固
着する事ができる。ライナ２４が図示のようにバックシ
ートＩ２に対して直接に固着されあるいは別個の要素を
介してバンクシート１２に対して間接的に固着された場
合、ライナがバックシートに対して固着されたと見なさ
れる。
ライナ２４には、汚物、特に固体糞をライナ２４を通し
て吸収性コア１６の中に送り汚物を着用者の皮膚から離
間するための通路２６が備えられている。
好ましい実施態様において、通路２６はアパチュアの形
状を取る。この場合、通路とは大きな障害なしで糞をラ
イナ２４を通過させるに十分な開口である。この場合、
用語アパチュアは孔、スリットまたはその組合せを含む
が、これには限定されない。
好ましくはこのアパチュアは２つの凸形を有する楕円形
とする。
通路２６のサイズは、皮膚と汚物との望ましくない接触
を最小限にするように、会陰に対する肛門の位置の変動
に対応するだけの最小限のサイズと固体糞の種々の断面
積とのバランスによって決定される。オシメ１０を幼児
の身体に種々の長手方位置に配置した時に肛門と整合す
るように、この通路２６は横方向寸法より長い縦方向寸
法を有するＩｃが好ましい。
約５．０ｃｍ〜約６．５ｃｍの縦方向寸法と、約３．５
ｃｍ−約６．０ｃｍの横方向寸法とを有するアパチュア
か適当である。アパチュアはライナ２４上において人体
横方向に定心され、長手方においてオシメ１０の後部に
向かって少なくとも約２ｃｍ片寄らされている。
ライナ２４を長手方に収縮させる手段がライナ２４に取
り付けられる。この収縮手段は、オシメが製造された時
からオシメが廃棄される時まで弾性状態にある事が好ま
しく、ライナ２１上に選択的に配置する事ができる。
前記の非弾性ライナ２４に対して、収縮手段は好ましく
はゴムストランド２８によってｌ１ｌＩ成され、このゴ
ムストランドはオシメ１０の長手方軸線に平行な成分を
有する張筋として作用する。このゴムストランド２８は
任意断面を有する事ができ、横寸法より実質的に大きい
長さを有する。天然ゴムから成り非緊張状態で約２．４
ｍｍ〜約６．４ｍｍＸ約０．１８ｍｍの長方形断面を有
するゴムストランド２８か適当である。ノースカロライ
ナ、スコツトランドネックのファルフレックス社のＰｕ
１ｆｌｅｘ　９４１１ストランドが好適である事が発見
された。代表的には、ゴムストランド２８は予延伸され
、つぎに米国特許第４．０８１，３０１号に記載のよう
な適当な接着剤によってオシメ１０に接着される。この
米国特許を引例として加える。
ライナ２４はオシメ１０の両端において、コア１６の横
方向縁とバンクシート１２の横方向縁２０との間におい
て自由９１８と呼ばれる非収縮区域を有する。
ゴムストランド２８は好ましくはこの自由縁１８の中に
延在しまたはこれと接触する事なく、好ましくはコア１
６と同延長とする。この構造は、この自由区域１８にお
いてライナのシワと収縮を減少させ、ユーザに対して快
適感を与えまたオシメ１０のウェスト回りの漏れを最小
限になす。またライナ２４の収縮部分をバックシート１
２より短く構成する事により、ライナ２４とバックシー
ト１２を取り付けた時にオシメ１０はライナ２４に向か
って凹形をなし、着用者の丸い臀部を収容するフレーム
を成す。曲記のように約４５ｃｍの長さのバックシート
１２については、代表的には約２３ｃｍ乃至約３６ｃｍ
の縦方向−Ｊ−法の長手方取縮寸法を有するライナ２４
が適当である。
長手方収縮手段を通路２６に技平方に隣接しないように
配置する。この場合、　Ｕ長手方に隣接しないように」
とは通路２６からオシメ１０のいずれかの横方向縁に向
かって延在するライナ部分をは味する。言い替えれば、
通路２６と交差する事なく横方向軸線に対して平行な線
を引く事のできるライナ上のすべての点が通路２６に対
して長手方に隣接しない点である。通路２６に対して長
手方に隣接しない弾性ストランド２８が通路２６に対し
て横方向に隣接した部分を有する事ができるのは明かで
あり、これも本発明の主旨の範囲内にある。
収縮手段は通路２６に対して横方向に隣接して配置する
事ができる。この場合、　「通路２６に対して横方向に
隣接した」部分とは、通路２６から直接にオシメ１０の
横方向縁まで延在するライナ部分を言う。言い替えれば
、長手方軸線に対して平行にまた通路２６と交差するよ
うに線を引く事のできるライナ上の任意の点は通路２６
に対して横方向に隣接する。
特定の操作理論に限定されるつもりはないが、この構造
はライナ２４を着用者の臀部の複雑な曲線に対して、よ
りよく合致させ、また通路２６の長手方圧漬を防止する
と考えられる。さらにこの構造は通路２６を着用者の肛
門に整列させ、ライナン４を着用者の皮膚に密着させる
。通路２６の両側に長手方に１つづつ、前部と後部のラ
イナ収縮手段を有する事が好ましいが、前部または後部
にライナ収縮手段を有するオシメ１０も前記利点の少な
くとも一部を示し、本発明の主旨の範囲内にある。
ライナ２４の後部のライナ収縮手段は好ましくは単数ま
たは複数の弾性ストランド２８を含み、これらの弾性ス
トランドは横方向に定心され、オシメｌＯの長手方軸線
に対して大体平行に配列される。
第２図について述べれば、オシメ１０が直立状態の着用
者によって着用された時、後側弾性ストランド２８がラ
イナ２４の後部を垂直上方に引っ張る。また後側弾性ス
トランド２８はライナ２４の後側パネルを臀部グループ
の中に押圧し、固体汚物が着用者の身体のこの部分の中
に移動する事を防止する。
ライナの前部の収縮手段は好ましくは単数または複数の
弾性ストランド２８を含み、後側弾性ストランド２８の
対向引っ張り作用に対して長手方ベクトルバランスを成
す。ライナ２４の前部の収縮手段は、頂点を通路２６に
向はオシメ１０の曲方に向かって開いたＶ形の弾性スト
ランド２８を含む事が好ましい。この構造は長手方の実
質的に弾性要素を成し、後側の弾性ストランドの対向引
っ張り作用に平衡し、前記のような密封機能を示す。第
２図について前述したように、この前側弾性ストランド
２８はオシメが直立着用者によって着用された時にオシ
メの前部を垂直上方に引っ張る。
前記のＶ形の前部収縮手段の角度は、長手右前方の引っ
張り作用を生じる程度に小でなければならないが、この
弾性ストランド２８が性器を）ｔ！擦しまたは刺激しな
い程度に、特に男性の除光を収容する程度に大でなけれ
ばならない。この理由から、本発明の主旨の範囲内にお
いて、弾性ストランド２８はＶ形の頂点において交差せ
ず、あるいはＵ形のように弧状に交差する事ができる。
約２０〜９０゜の夾角の弾性ストランド２８を有する前
部収縮手段が適当であるが、この夾角は弾性ストランド
２８の横方向離間距離によって変動する。
弾性ストランド２８はオシメ１０の自由縁１８の中まで
延在してはならない。さもなければ、オシメを着用した
時にウェスト区域の歪を生じる。同様に。
弾性ストランド２８は通路２６に近接しすぎてはならな
い。さもなければ、この弾性ストランドが収縮しまたは
不規則形状にねじ曲げられて、皮膚に対するライナの接
触を妨げる。逆に弾性ストランド２８は短すぎたりまた
は通路２６から離れすぎてはならない。さもなければ１
通路２６の整列と、コア１６からのライナ２４の持ち上
がりが困難になる。
約１００〜約２００％の伸びニオイテ約１２５，０００
ｋｇ／　ｓｑ、ｍの弾性係数を有し、通路２６に対して
横方向に隣接し、約１００〜約２００％、代表的には約
１７５ｘの非収縮状態伸び率を有し、前部においては約
１６−５ｃｍ、後部においては約１４．６ｃｍの長さを
有する前側または後側の弾性ストランド２８がこの実施
態様において好適である事が発見された。所望ならば、
ライナ２４を通しての尿の透過を促進するため、ライナ
２４の尿透過区域をコア１６に対して固着する事ができ
る。
第３図に図示のように、長手方に収縮されたライナ２４
は理想的には着用された時に着用者に対して密接に付着
し、同時に吸収性コア１６の曲率半径が大きいので吸収
性コア１６がライナ２４から離脱してその間にスペース
３０を生じる。このスペース３０は汚物を捕集して着用
者から離間し皮膚の刺激を防止する。
このスペース３０の容積は、少なくとも約９０ｇの糞が
取容される限り臨界的ではない。同様に、スペース３０
の形状も重要ではなく、実際上不規則形状となる。好ま
しくはライナ２４は通路２６の近傍においてコア１６に
対して固着されない。さもなければスペース３０の容積
が実質的に縮小されるであろう。
当業者には明らかなように、前記第１実施態様の種々の
変形が可能である。例えば第１図と第２図に図示のよう
に、ライナ２４を長手方に収縮させる張筋として作用す
る第２弾性ストランド３２を使用してライナ２４とコア
１６との間のスペース３０を拡大する事ができる。この
第２弾性ストランド３２は全体的に長手方に配置され、
通路２６に対して長手方に隣接しない。これらの第２弾
性ストランドがライナ１６の両側面をコア１６から引き
上げて糞を着用者から離間する。
第２弾性ストランド３２は好ましくはオシメの長手方軸
線と横方向軸線に対して対称的に配置され、各グループ
の弾性ストランドがライナ２４の各四分円の中に配置さ
れる。またこの構造はライナ２４の横方向張力を増進し
通路２６の開口を拡大する。第２弾性ストランド３２が
ライナ２４に対して前部および後部弾性ストランド２８
より低い収縮度または自由状態の長さとの差を加える事
が好ましい。なぜかならば、このような構造はライナの
中心部分を持ち上げて臀部の形状に合致させるからであ
る。
代表的には、前記の横方向に隣接する前部および後部の
弾性ストランド２８と同一長を有し非収縮状態において
約１００％〜約２００％、好ましくは約１５０石の伸び
を有する各グループ４本の第２弾性ストランドが適当で
ある。
当業者には明らかなように、汚物をライナ２４を通過さ
せるためには、前記以外のサイズおよび形状の通路２６
が可能である。例えば隅部を、横方向および横方向に配
向された前記寸法のタイアモン１へ型アパチュア（図示
されず）も適当である。
約４．０ｃｍ〜約６．Ｏｃ口の長手方寸法と約０．５ｃ
ｍの横方向寸法とを有するスリットなどのアパチュアを
使用する事もできる。大型の幼児についてオシメ１０を
設計する場合には、より大きな通路２６をオシメ１０の
後部に近く配置する事が望ましい。これらすべての通路
２６は本発明の主旨の範囲内にある。
所望ならば、通路２６の引き裂きまたはシワを防止する
ため、ライナ２４の通路２６の近傍部分を補強する事が
できる。このような補強は、通路２６から放射方向に約
１　、０ｃｍ〜約２．０ｃｍの同心隣接区域のライナ材
料の厚さを２倍にする事によって実施する事ができる。
所望ならば、前記のいずれかの実施態様のオシメライナ
２４の中に横方向収縮手段を配備する事ができる。この
横方向収縮力の大きさは臨界的ではないが、一般に長手
方収縮によって生じる横方向ネンキングを中和するため
に使用される。例えば、第１図のＶ形のように非長手方
配向を有する弾性ストランド２８が横方向収縮を生じる
事ができる。
本発明は前記の説明のみに限定されるものでなく、その
主旨の範囲内において任意に変更実施てきる。

Claims (10)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. １．尿不透過性バックシートと、 尿透過性ライナであって、前部と、後部と、汚物を通過
    させる少なくとも１つの通路とを有し、また前記バック
    シートに対して外周の少なくとも一部を固着された尿透
    過性ライナと、 前記ライナと前記バックシートとの間に介 在された吸収性コアと、 前記ライナを長手方に収縮させる手段であ つて、長手方に前記通路に隣接しないように前記ライナ
    の前部に配置された収縮手段と、 前記ライナを長手方に収縮させる手段であ って、長手方に前記通路に隣接しないように前記ライナ
    の後部に配置された収縮手段とを含む、長手方軸線を有
    する吸収性製品。
  2. ２．尿不透過性バックシートと、 尿透過性ライナであつて、前部と、後部と、汚物を通過
    させる少なくとも１つの通路とを有し、また前記バック
    シートに対して外周の少なくとも一部を固着された尿透
    過性ライナと、 前記ライナと前記バックシートとの間に介 在された吸収性コアと、 前記前部に配置された少なくとも１つの弾 性ストランドと前記後部に配置された少なくとも１つの
    弾性ストランドであつて、前記ライナを長手方に収縮さ
    せ、また実質的に長手方に前記通路に隣接しないように
    配置された弾性ストランドとを含む、弾性ストランドを
    備えた長手方軸線を有する吸収性製品。
  3. ３．前記通路は横方向寸法より大なる長手方寸法を有す
    る事を特徴とする請求項１または２に記載の使い捨て吸
    収性製品。
  4. ４．さらに前記ライナを横方向に収縮させる手段を含み
    、前記ライナ横方向収縮手段は非長手方に配向された少
    なくとも１つの弾性ストランドを含む事を特徴とする請
    求項１または２に記載の使い捨て吸収性製品。
  5. ５．前記ライナは前記前部に配置された少なくとも１つ
    の弾性ストランドと前記後部に配置された少なくとも１
    つの弾性ストランドとを有する事を特徴とする請求項１
    または２に記載の使い捨て吸収性製品。
  6. ６．前記前部に配置された２つの弾性ストランドを有し
    、前記２つの弾性ストランドはＶ形を成し、前記Ｖ形の
    頂点は前記通路の方に向けられている事を特徴とする請
    求項５に記載の使い捨て吸収性製品。
  7. ７．前記弾性ストランドは前記通路に横方向隣接し、別
    に前記ライナを大体長手方に収縮する複数の第２弾性ス
    トランドを含み、前記第２弾性ストランドは前記通路に
    対して実質的に横方向にまた長手方に隣接しないように
    配置れている事を特徴とする請求項６に記載の使い捨て
    吸収性製品。
  8. ８．前記第２弾性ストランドは、前記横方向隣接弾性ス
    トランドよりも少ない程度に前記ライナを収縮させる事
    を特徴とする請求項７に記載の使い捨て吸収性製品。
  9. ９．前記前部収縮手段と前記後部収縮手段はオシメの長
    手方軸線に対して０°乃至４５°の角度に配向され、好
    ましくは前記両方の収縮手段は長手方軸線に対して約１
    ０°乃至４５°の角度に配向されている事を特徴とする
    請求項１に記載の使い捨て吸収性製品。
  10. １０．前記前部弾性ストランドと前記後部弾性ストラン
    ドはオシメの長手方軸線に対して０°乃至４５°の角度
    に配向され、好ましくは前記両方の弾性ストランドは長
    手方軸線に対して約１０°乃至４５°の角度に配向され
    ている事を特徴とする請求項１に記載の使い捨て吸収性
    製品。
