Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、チューブを接続する方法に関し、さらに詳しく述べるならば、可融性 のプラスチック材料からなる波形壁を有するチューブを、波形リブの切断部分を 終端とする接続すべき端において、接続する方法に関する。
本発明の目的は、比較的単純な作業操作により、均質な信頼性のあるチューブ間 の接続を与えることを可能にすることである。特に、波形の外壁と平滑な内壁と を有する二重壁チューブに、チューブ内の流れパターンを妨げることのある、内 側チューブの内表面上の凹凸を作ることのない接続を与えることを目的とする。
上記の目的は、請求項1の特徴を有する本発明の方法により達成されるのであっ て、これはそれ自体公知であり、加熱された時に膨張する環状体が特定の方法で 利用されるということを意味する。
添付の図面を参照しながら、本発明を下記にさらに詳細に説明する。
第1図は、接続されるべき2つの二重壁チューブの隣接端部分の模式的な軸方向 部分断面図である。第2図は、本発明の方法の最初の工程におけるチューブの対 応する軸方向断面図である。第3図は、オーバーラツプ継手を与えるために、特 表平1−5015f;2 (2) チューブ端がいっしょにされた場合の対応する軸方向断面図である。第4図は、 溶接工程を説明する対応する軸方向断面図である。第5図は、チューブ端間の完 成された接続の対応する軸方向断面図である。第6図は、合口継手を説明する、 第3図に相当する図である。第7図は、単一壁波形チューブの接続を説明する、 第3図に相当する図である。
第1〜5図は、波形外壁10および比較的薄い平滑な内壁11を有し、両方の壁 が可融性のプラスチック材料からなるタイプの、二重壁波形チューブAおよびB に、本発明の方法を適用する場合を説明する。波形外壁はポリエチレンからなる ものであってよく、内側の平滑な壁はポリエチレンまたは可融性のエラストマー からなっていてよい。前記後者の態様における二重壁チューブは、地下のパイプ ラインの取り替えによ(適合するように比較的容易に曲げることのできるもので ある。外壁および内壁は公知の方法で波形溝において相互に接続されており、閉 じた管状のキャビティー12を形成している。隣接チューブ端は、各端において 開放された管状のキャビティー13が存在するように、波形リプの切断部分を終 端としている。チューブAの端の開放キャビティー内に、それ自体公知のタイプ の環状体が挿入され、前記環状体はエネルギーが供給された時に膨張する。この 場合、環状体は長円形の断面形状を有する管状のリング14を含む、このリング は、例えば、円形の断面形状をもって製造され、次いで加熱後に長円形に変形さ れ、そしてこの形で放冷されたPEXチューブからなっていてよい。PEXチュ ーブは、電源に接続されるべき電熱#s(図示せず)で巻かれており、その外表 面はポリエチレンでコートされている。
他方のチューブB内には剛化用円筒マンドレル15が挿入され、その外側表面に は第2図に示すようにチューブBの薄い比較的柔軟な内壁11の端部を受け入れ るために、面取りされた端エツジ16および円周方向の傾斜された溝17が設け られている。
このようにしてチューブ端が配置された場合、それらはいっしょになり、マンド レルはその外側端においてランプ18を形成して、チューブAがマンドレル上に 押し出された時にわずかにチューブAを持ち上げて、このチューブの外壁が第3 図に示されるように、他方のチューブBの外壁上に置かれる。マンドレル15は 、軸方向に、チューブ間の継目上に差し渡されるような位置に変位する0次いで 、溝内に入っているチューブBの内壁の端部がマンドレルの変位によって溝から 引き出される時に、内壁間にオーバーラツプが得られる。
引き続く溶接工程の間に完成されたオーバーラツプ継手を与えるために、接続部 分内においてチューブを取り囲むように、外側ジグ19が、内部ジグとして機能 するマンドレルとともに、配置される。マンドレル15は、膨張可能であり、チ ューブに対して押しつけられ、収縮され、このようにしてより容易にチューブ内 に挿入され、チューブから引き出されることが可能である。
溶接工程は、電熱線を、加熱の間にいわゆる記憶作用によって元の円形に戻るこ とのできるリング14を加熱するための電源に接続することを含む、同時に、外 壁および内壁のプラスチック材料およびリングの外表面上のプラスチック材料を 融解させ、チューブ間の均質な転移を与え、リングが壁に溶接される。ジグおよ びマンドレルは取り外すことができ、このようにして完成された接続は第5図に 示す外観を有する。
外壁および内壁の両者がポリエチレンからなり、実質的に同一の厚さを有するタ イプの、より普通のチューブの場合には、接続は第6図に従う合口継手として設 けられてもよい。
次に、チューブ端が外壁および内壁の隣接する環状端表面において互いに他と溶 接され、またリング14に溶接される。
その膨張の間にリング14によって与えられる圧力の影響下に、外壁の材料は薄 くなり、これを調整するために、ポリエチレンのストリップが、溶接および外側 ジグの適用の前に、接続部分のチューブの周りにその外表面上に巻かれてもよい 。
特に、本発明の方法を適用することによって、内側チューブの平滑な内表面が得 られというとに留意すべきである。従って、チューブ内の流れを妨げることのあ る、内側突起が接続部分に形成される危険性がない。
本発明の方法は、また、波形壁を有する単一壁チューブ、例えば、第7図に示す ように、通常は発泡ポリエチレン、架橋ポリエチレンまたはポリウレタンからな る、断熱性の発泡プラスチック材料20を取り囲む外側波形ポリエチレン被覆l Oを含む熱地下水路チューブにも適用することができる。

Claims (10)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 1.可融性のプラスチック材料からなる波形壁を有するチューブを、波形リブの 切断部分を終端とする相互に接続すべき端において、接続する方法であって、エ ネルギーが供給されたときに膨張する環状体を一方のチューブの端の波形リブと 内側境界とにより形成された環状空間内に置く工程、両方のチューブの端をいっ しょにして他方のチューブの端によって前記空間を閉じる工程、チューブの外側 に前記波形リブのための径および軸方向支持体を配置する工程、および環状体を 加熱することにより膨張させてこれをチューブの波形壁に融着せしめる工程を含 む方法。
  2. 2.チューブが波形壁と一体になった可融性のプラスチック材料からなる内壁を 含み、前記内壁が前記内側境界を形成し、前記環状体が前記チューブの内壁に融 着されている、請求項1記載の方法。
  3. 3.前記チューブの波形壁と内壁とにより、これらがいっしょにされたときに、 オーバーラップ継手が形成される、請求項2記載の方法。
  4. 4.前記チューブの波形壁と内壁とにより、これらがいっしょにされたときに、 合口継手が形成される、請求項2記載の方法。
  5. 5.前記チューブの隣接端内に可融性のプラスチック材料のスリーブが挿入され て前記内側境界が形成される、請求項1記載の方法。
  6. 6.前記チューブの波形壁により、これらがいっしょにされたときに、オーバー ラップ継手が形成される、請求項5記載の方法。
  7. 7.前記チューブの波形壁により、これらがいっしょにされたときに、合口継手 が形成される、請求項5記載の方法。
  8. 8.前記チューブの波形壁が接続部分において可融性プラスチック材料のストリ ップで巻かれる、請求項1記載の方法。
  9. 9.前記チューブの波形壁がチューブの外側表面上にジグにより支持される、請 求項1記載の方法。
  10. 10.内壁を内側に支持するためにマンドレルが前記チューブ内に挿入される、 請求項2記載の方法。
