(57)【要約】 【課題】 異なる合成樹脂からなる管を強固に接続でき
る管継手を提供する。 【解決手段】 異なる合成樹脂からなる管P1 ,P2 を
接続する管継手であって、継手本体1を一方の合成樹脂
管P1 と同種の合成樹脂で形成すると共に、その一端に
第1継手部11を設ける。また、継手本体1の他端に他
方の合成樹脂管P2 と同種の合成樹脂からなる第2継手
部12を設けてその接合面に電熱線2を埋設する。 【効果】 異なる合成樹脂からなる管を強固に接続でき
る。

【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【発明の属する技術分野】本発明は、異種の合成樹脂管
同志を接続する際に好適に使用できる合成樹脂製管継手
に関する。
【0002】
【従来の技術】従来からガス管、給湯管等の配管分野で
は、ポリエチレン、ポリブテン等の合成樹脂管が使用さ
れており、その接続には合成樹脂管と同種の合成樹脂か
らなる管継手が使用されている。例えば、低密度のポリ
エチレン管同志の接続には、低密度ポリエチレン樹脂か
らなる管継手が使用されており、ポリブテン管同志の接
続には、ポリブテンからなる管継手が使用されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】ところで、配管の施工
現場では、低密度のポリエチレン管に高密度のポリエチ
レン管を接続したり、ポリエチレン管とポリブテン管と
を接続しなければならない状況が発生することがある
が、従来の管継手では異種の合成樹脂管同志を簡単、か
つ確実に接続できなかった。
【0004】本発明はかかる課題を解決したものであっ
て、異種の合成樹脂管同志を簡単、かつ確実に接続でき
る管継手を提供するものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明は、異なる合成樹
脂からなる管を接続する管継手であって、継手本体を一
方の合成樹脂管と同種の合成樹脂で形成すると共に、そ
の一端に第1継手部を設け、また継手本体の他端に他方
の合成樹脂管と同種の合成樹脂からなる第2継手部を設
けてその接合面に電熱線を埋設したことを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】以下、本発明の実施例を図面にて
詳細に説明する。図1は本発明の一実施例を示す管継手
の半断面図、図2は本発明の他の実施例を示す半断面
図、図3は更に本発明の他の実施例を示す半断面図であ
って、図中の符号1は継手本体、P1 及びP2 は異なる
合成樹脂からなる管である。
【0007】継手本体1は合成樹脂管P1 と同種の合成
樹脂で形成されており、その一端には合成樹脂管P1 が
接続される第1継手部11が設けられている。また、継
手本体1の他端には合成樹脂管P2 と同種の合成樹脂で
形成された第2継手部12が設けられている。尚、第1
継手部11と第2継手部12とを形成する合成樹脂とし
ては、高密度ポリエチレンと低密度ポリエチレンとの組
み合わせ、ポリエチレンとポリブテンとの組み合わせ等
が考えられるが、これ以外にも異なる任意の合成樹脂の
組み合わせとすることができる。
【0008】図1に示した管継手は、射出成型によって
継手本体1の他端内周に円筒状の継手部12を一体的に
融着嵌合させたものである。円筒状の継手部12の外周
に設けられた螺旋状の溝には電熱線2が嵌入しており、
該電熱線2の両端は継手本体1の他端外周から突出した
端子ピン21と接続している。
【0009】この管継手の場合、第1継手部11の外周
面と、合成樹脂管P1 の端部内周面に電熱ヒータを当て
がって双方の接合面を溶融させたのち、合成樹脂管P1
の端部に第1継手部11を嵌入する。そして、第2継手
部12に合成樹脂管P2 の端部を嵌入してから電熱線2
に通電し、該電熱線2を発熱させて双方の接合面を融着
接合することができる。
【0010】図2に示した管継手は、外周面が合成樹脂
で被覆されたニクロム線等の電熱線2をコイル状に巻回
し、このコイル状のものを射出成型によって継手本体1
の他端内周に一体的に融着嵌合させたものである。電熱
線2の両端は継手本体1の他端外周から突出した端子ピ
ン21と接続している。
【0011】この管継手の場合も、前記同様にして第1
継手部11に合成樹脂管P1 の端部を融着接合すること
ができ、第2継手部12に埋設された電熱線2を発熱さ
せて合成樹脂管P2 の端部を融着接合することができ
る。
【0012】図3に示した管継手は、第1継手部11と
第2継手部12の双方の内周面に電熱線2を埋設したも
のであって、それぞれの電熱線2に通電して発熱させる
だけで、異なる合成樹脂からなる管P1 ,P2 を強固に
融着接合することができる。

【発明の効果】以上詳述した如く、本発明の管継手は、
継手本体を一方の合成樹脂管と同種の合成樹脂で形成す
ると共に、その一端に第1継手部を設け、また継手本体
の他端に他方の合成樹脂管と同種の合成樹脂からなる第
2継手部を設けたので、異なる合成樹脂からなる管を強
固に融着接合することができる。また、継手部の接合面
に電熱線が埋設されていると、電熱線に通電して発熱さ
せるだけで融着接合できるので、現場での配管施工が簡
単、かつ確実に行える。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】 異なる合成樹脂からなる管(P1 ),
    (P2 )を接続する管継手であって、継手本体(1)を
    一方の合成樹脂管(P1 )と同種の合成樹脂で形成する
    と共に、その一端に第1継手部(11)を設け、また継
    手本体(1)の他端に他方の合成樹脂管(P2 )と同種
    の合成樹脂からなる第2継手部(12)を設けてその接
    合面に電熱線(2)を埋設したことを特徴とする管継
    手。
