Description
【発明の詳細な説明】
本発明は、ポリエチレン、ポリプロプレン等の
ポリオレフン系樹脂管の熱線溶着継手に関し、さ
らに詳しくは、接続管とは熱溶着させると共に、
ゴムリングによつてさらに水密性を高めるように
なしたポリオレフン系樹脂の熱線溶着継手に関す
る。

従来、ポリオレフン系樹脂管の接続に当つては
第5図に示すように、接続管1,1′と同質材料
の円筒状継手2の内周面全体にわたつて金属線3
を螺旋状に埋込み、この継手2に接続管1,1′
を挿入した後、金属線3に電流を通し、これによ
つて発生するジユール熱によつて両者を溶着接合
していた。しかしながら、上記継手による接続管
の溶着接合には、金属線を発熱させたときに、金
属線に沿つて間隙が発生することがあり、該間隙
を伝つて管内流体が漏洩する危険性があつた。
第5図に示すように、接続管1,1′と同質材料
の円筒状継手2の内周面全体にわたつて金属線3
を螺旋状に埋込み、この継手2に接続管1,1′
を挿入した後、金属線3に電流を通し、これによ
つて発生するジユール熱によつて両者を溶着接合
していた。しかしながら、上記継手による接続管
の溶着接合には、金属線を発熱させたときに、金
属線に沿つて間隙が発生することがあり、該間隙
を伝つて管内流体が漏洩する危険性があつた。
また、第6図に示すように、継手の両端から挿
入接続した接続管の端面に隙間sが生じると、こ
の部分では継手の内周面に埋設した金属線が露出
するために電熱線を発熱させたとき、継手内周面
は溶融し、V字状のノツチが発生する。この様な
接続状態の配管に圧力流体を流すと、この圧力に
よつてV字状のノツチに応力が集中し、この部分
で破壊するという問題があつた。
入接続した接続管の端面に隙間sが生じると、こ
の部分では継手の内周面に埋設した金属線が露出
するために電熱線を発熱させたとき、継手内周面
は溶融し、V字状のノツチが発生する。この様な
接続状態の配管に圧力流体を流すと、この圧力に
よつてV字状のノツチに応力が集中し、この部分
で破壊するという問題があつた。
本発明は、かかる従来欠点を改善したものであ
つて、ゴムリングによつて水密性を高めると共に
熱溶着の際にV字状のノツチが発生することのな
いポリオレフン系樹脂管の熱線溶着継手を提供す
るものである。

以下、本発明を図面にて詳細に説明する。
第1〜2図は、本発明の一実施例を示す断面

第1〜2図に示す実施にあつては、継手2の内
周面にステンレス線等の金属線3(通常、線径
0.6〜1.0φが好適)を3〜6mmのピツチで螺旋状
に巻回して埋込み、さらにその奥部に環状溝21
を設け、該環状溝21にゴムリング4を装着して
受口22を形成する。この継手2を用いて接続管
1,1′を接続するには、受口22,22にそれ
ぞれ接続管1,1′を挿入し管端部外周面をゴム
リング4に密接させた後、金属線3に所定時間電
流を流し、受口22の内周面と接続管1,1′の
外周面を溶融させて接合する。
周面にステンレス線等の金属線3(通常、線径
0.6〜1.0φが好適)を3〜6mmのピツチで螺旋状
に巻回して埋込み、さらにその奥部に環状溝21
を設け、該環状溝21にゴムリング4を装着して
受口22を形成する。この継手2を用いて接続管
1,1′を接続するには、受口22,22にそれ
ぞれ接続管1,1′を挿入し管端部外周面をゴム
リング4に密接させた後、金属線3に所定時間電
流を流し、受口22の内周面と接続管1,1′の
外周面を溶融させて接合する。
第3〜4図に示す実施例にあつては、継手2の
両端内周面を拡径させてテーパ部23を形成し、
該テーパ部23の奥部にゴムリング4をはめ込ん
だ後テーパ状をなす継手2と同材質からなるリン
グ24を押込み、受口22に挿入した接続管1,
1′を溶着接合するものである。即ち、リング2
4のテーパ外周面、及び内周面には金属線3が螺
旋状に埋設されており、継手2の両端に接続管
1,1′を挿入した後、テーパ部23の奥部にゴ
ムリング4をはめ込み、しかる後、継手2の外周
面にバンド6を巻回固定する。しかる後、接続管
1,1′の外周に固定した押圧具5を用いてテー
パ部23内にリング24を押込み金属線3に所定
時間電流を通す。しかしてリング24を接続管
1,1′の外周面、及びテーパ部23の内周面に
同時に溶融させて接続管1,1′を接続すること
ができる。この実施例の場合には、受口22の奥
部にテーパ部23の奥部とリング24によつて環
状溝が形成され、該溝内に装着したゴムリング4
が接続管1,1′の端部外周面と密接しているの
で、前記実施例と同様に金属線3に沿つて間隙が
発生しても管内流体が漏洩する虞れは全くない。

パ部23内にリング24を押込み金属線3に所定
時間電流を通す。しかしてリング24を接続管
1,1′の外周面、及びテーパ部23の内周面に
同時に溶融させて接続管1,1′を接続すること
ができる。この実施例の場合には、受口22の奥
部にテーパ部23の奥部とリング24によつて環
状溝が形成され、該溝内に装着したゴムリング4
が接続管1,1′の端部外周面と密接しているの
で、前記実施例と同様に金属線3に沿つて間隙が
発生しても管内流体が漏洩する虞れは全くない。
以上の如く、本発明の熱線溶着継手は、受口の
内周面に金属線を埋設したので、この金属線に電
流を流すという簡単な操作によつて、接続管との
溶着接合が行える。しかも受口の奥部には接続管
の端部外周面と密接するゴムリングを装着して金
属線が接続管の先端部からはみ出さないようにし
たので、継手内周面にノツチが発生して、この部
分で破壊する虞れが全くない。
内周面に金属線を埋設したので、この金属線に電
流を流すという簡単な操作によつて、接続管との
溶着接合が行える。しかも受口の奥部には接続管
の端部外周面と密接するゴムリングを装着して金
属線が接続管の先端部からはみ出さないようにし
たので、継手内周面にノツチが発生して、この部
分で破壊する虞れが全くない。
また、金属線を発熱させて受口内周面と接続管
の外周面とを溶着接合した際に金属線に沿つて間
隙が発生しても、受口の奥部にゴムリングをはめ
込んで水密性を維持しているためにこの部分で漏
水する危険性は全くなく、二重の安全性を保障す
るものである。

Claims (1)
- 1 接続管の外径とほぼ等しい内径を有する受口
の内周面に金属線を螺旋状に埋設し、さらに該受
口の奥部には環状溝を設けて該溝内に接続管の端
部外周面と密接するゴムリングを装着したことを
特徴とするポリオレフン系樹脂管の熱線溶着継
手。
