Description
上述の目的は、請求項1に記載の本発明の組成物であって、1つ以上のシロキサンポリマー、シリコーン樹脂、シリコーン系エラストマー、及びこれらの混合物を含み、ケイ素結合加水分解性基を含有するシラン又はシロキサンなどの1つ以上の架橋剤成分を更に含み得る、すなわち、上述の成分を組み合わせて含む組成物であり得る、バインダーと、
親水性粉末及び/又はゲルであって、100m2/g~1500m2/g以上のBET表面積、及び20℃及び大気圧で0.004~0.05W/m・Kの熱伝導率を有する、1つ以上の非晶質多孔質親水性シリカ、1つ以上の親水性シリカエアロゲル、及びこれらの混合物から選択される、親水性粉末及び/又はゲルと、を含む組成物によって解決される。
本発明の非晶質多孔質親水性シリカ成分は、低熱伝導率、すなわち、20℃及び大気圧(Patm)で測定して、0.001~0.15W/mK、例えば、0.004又は0.01~0.10又は0.05W/mK、好ましくは0.01~0.05又は0.01~0.03W/mKの範囲の熱伝導率によって特徴付けられるという点で、エアロゲル様材料と称され得る材料である。
本発明において使用される親水性粉末及び/又はゲルは、1つ以上のシロキサンポリマー、シリコーン樹脂、シリコーン系エラストマー、及びこれらの混合物を含むバインダーと共に処理される/組み合わせられる。上記バインダーは、ケイ素結合加水分解性基を含有するシラン又はシロキサンなどの1つ以上の架橋剤成分を更に含み得る。したがって、バインダーは、上述の成分を組み合わせて含有する、及び任意選択的に以下に開示される更なる成分を含有する組成物であり得る。
R’eSiO4-e/2 (1)
[式中、各R’は、同一でも異なっていてもよく、1~18個の炭素原子を有する炭化水素基、1~18個の炭素原子を有する置換炭化水素基、又は最大18個の炭素原子を有する炭化水素オキシ基を示し、eは、平均して1~3、好ましくは1.8~2.2の値を有する]。
縮合硬化性バインダーは、(ai)少なくとも2つの末端ヒドロキシル基又は加水分解性基を有し、Brookfield粘度計などの回転粘度計により、又はASTM D-445,IP71に基づくガラスキャピラリ粘度計を用いることによって測定し得る、25℃で10~200,000mPa.s、あるいは2000~150000mPa.s、の粘度を有するシロキサンポリマーを含み得る。シロキサンポリマー(ai)は以下の分子式(2)によって記載し得る:

R1 ySiO(4-y)/2の少なくとも97%は、y=2で特徴付けられる。
Xは、ヒドロキシル基、又は任意の加水分解性基である]。
縮合硬化性バインダー中の架橋剤(bi)は、1つ以上のシラン又はシロキサンであり得、ケイ素結合加水分解性基、例えばアシルオキシ基(例えば、アセトキシ基、オクタノイルオキシ基及びベンゾイルオキシ基);ケトキシミノ基(例えば、ジメチルケトキシモ(ketoximo)基及びイソブチルケトキシミノ(isobutyl-ketoximino)基);アルコキシ基(例えばメトキシ基、エトキシ基、イソブトキシ基及びプロポキシ基)、並びにアルケニルオキシ基(例えば、イソプロペニルオキシ基及び1-エチル-2-メチルビニルオキシ基)を含む、1つ以上のシラン又はシロキサンであり得る。
第3の成分は、硬化反応を触媒するための好適な縮合触媒である。これらは、典型的には、組成物中の他の成分に応じて選択される、スズ系触媒又はチタネート/ジルコネート触媒である。スズ触媒の例としては、スズトリフレート、有機スズ金属触媒、例えば、トリエチルスズタートレート、スズオクトエート、スズオレエート、スズナフテート、ブチルスズトリ-2-エチルヘキソエート、スズブチレート、カルボメトキシフェニルスズトリスベレート、イソブチルスズトリセロエート、及びジオルガノスズ塩、特に、ジオルガノスズジカルボキシレート化合物、例えば、ジブチルスズジラウレート、ジメチルスズジブチレート、ジブチルスズジメトキシド、ジブチルスズジアセテート、ジメチルスズビスネオデカノエート、ジブチルスズジベンゾエート、第一スズオクトエート、ジメチルスズジネオデカノエート(DMTDN)及びジブチルスズジオクトエートが挙げられる。
付加硬化性バインダー(aii)に使用されるシロキサンポリマーは、概して、縮合硬化性バインダーのためのものと同じであり、-OH基又は加水分解性基がSi-アルケニル基又はSi-H基、好ましくはSi-アルケニル基によって置き換えられている。典型的には、ポリマーは、1分子当たり2つ以上のSi-アルケニル基を有する。
シリコーン水性エラストマーバインダーは、以下を含み得る:
(i)下記のものの反応生成物の架橋ポリシロキサン分散体;
(i)25℃で5,000~500,000mPa.sの粘度を有する、1分子当たり少なくとも2つの-OH基を有するシロキサンポリマー、又は1分子当たり少なくとも2つの-OH基を有するポリマー混合物、並びに
(ii)(i)(i)と反応性である、及び更に(i)(c)界面活性剤及び(i)(d)水を更に含む、少なくとも1つの自己触媒架橋剤;と共に
下記(ii)乃至(iv)の1つ以上の成分:
(ii)コロイダルシリカ、ヒュームドシリカ、沈降シリカ、珪藻土、粉砕石英、カオリン、焼成カオリン、珪灰石、ヒドロキシアパタイト、炭酸カルシウム、アルミナ水和物、水酸化マグネシウム、カーボンブラック、二酸化チタン、酸化アルミニウム、バーミキュライト、酸化亜鉛、マイカ、滑石、酸化鉄、硫酸バリウム、及び消石灰の群から選択される1つ以上の充填剤((親水性粉末及び/又はゲルを除く);
(iii)1つ以上の安定剤;
(iv)1つ以上のレオロジー改質剤。
Z3-nR9 n-AO-(R10 2SiO)z-A-R9 nZ3-n (1)
[式中、nは0、1、2又は3であり、zは500~5000の整数であり、Zは水素原子、ヒドロキシル基、及び任意の縮合性基又は加水分解性基であり、Aは、Si原子又はSi-(CH2)m-SiR10 2基であり、R9は、脂肪族基、アルキル基、アミノアルキル基、ポリアミノアルキル基、エポキシアルキル基、アルケニル基又は芳香族アリール基からなる群から個々に選択され、R10は、Z、脂肪族基、アルキル基、アルケニル基、及び芳香族基からなる群から個々に選択される]。

0.1~8重量%のヒドロキシル基を含有し得る。流体は、例えば米国特許第3,382,205号に記載されているように、対応するクロロシラン又はアルコキシシランの共加水分解によって調製され得る。添加されるMDT流体の割合は、得られたポリマーの物理的特性及び接着性の改善を達成するために、式(3)のポリマー100重量部当たり50重量部以下、好ましくは1~20重量部とする必要がある。

SiO4/2 (「Q」)
0.1~8重量%のヒドロキシル基を含有し得、流体は、例えば米国特許第2,676,182号に記載されているように、対応するクロロシラン又はアルコキシシランの共加水分解によって調製され得る。MDTQ流体/樹脂は、得られたポリマーの物理的特性及び接着性を改善するために、式(3)のポリマー100重量部当たり50重量部以下、好ましくは1~10重量部の割合で添加され得る。MDTQ流体/樹脂は、MDT流体及び式(3)のポリマーと混合され得る。

[式中、nは0、1、2、又は3であり、zは正の整数であり、R14は、分子に少なくとも3つのQ基が存在する限りにおいて、Q、又は独立して1~8個の炭素原子の同じ又は異なるアルキル鎖である]。Q基は上記のとおりである。

[式中、n及びyは独立して、0、1、又は2であり;R15は、1~8個の炭素原子の同じ又は異なるアルキル鎖であり、Q1は(CH2)b又は{(CH2)bN(R15)}wであり、式中、bは1~10の整数であり、wは0~3である]。
0.1~50重量%、好ましくは0.1~10.0重量%の増粘剤、
0.1~80重量%、好ましくは1.0~50重量%の顔料、
0.1~80重量%、好ましくは1.0~50重量%の更なる補強充填剤及び/又は非補強充填剤、
0.1~20重量%、好ましくは0.1~5.0重量%の更なる触媒、
0.1~50重量%、好ましくは1.0~10.0重量%の難燃剤、
更なる水又は溶媒、
0.1~20重量%、好ましくは0.1~5.0重量%の泡安定剤、並びに/又は
0.1~60重量%、好ましくは0.1~20.0重量%の更なる絶縁性充填剤、
ただし、重量%は、組成物の総重量に基づいている。
親水性粉末及び/又はゲルを、上述のケイ素化合物を含むバインダーと混合することと、
混合物を分散又は乳化することと、を含む、方法を提供する。
フィルム形成材料:
DOWSIL(商標)8005Waterborne Resin:Dow Corning Corporation(Midland,MI,USA)から入手した水性エラストマーシロキサンエマルジョン。
QUARTZENE(登録商標)Z1:Svenska Aerogel AB(Gaevle,Sweden)から市販の非晶質多孔質親水性シリカ粉末、本明細書に記載の非晶質多孔質親水性シリカの範囲の特性を有する。具体的には、材料(CAS番号112926-00-9)は、2016年10月20日のその製品データシートにて特徴付けられ、20℃及びPatmで0.06~0.10g/mLのタップ密度;20℃及びPatmで0.025~0.03W/m Kの熱伝導率を有し;最高約900℃まで安定であり、200~350m2/gの表面積(BET);1~40μmの粒径分布を有し、約2μmのd(10)、約4~6μmのd(50)、及び約10~14μmのd(90);約1~50nmの孔径分布、及び約95~97%の空隙率を有する。
ROHAGIT(登録商標)SD15:Synthomer Essex(UK)から入手したポリアクリレート系増粘剤。
Dorf Ketal Specialty Catalysts LLC(Houston,TX,US)から入手したチタンn-ブトキシド(TnBT)。
以下の実施例では、組成物を以下のように調製した。
各実施例における成分の混和性を目視評価して、以下の指標を用いて、Banburyミキサーによる成分のブレンドの品質、すなわち、バインダーと他の成分との混和性を判定した。それによると;-
-= 非混和性。
+= 混和性及び粘度は、3~7日間の期間にわたって安定して保たれている。
++=混和性及び粘度は、少なくとも3ケ月間安定して保たれている。
厚さ約4mmの、各実施例のフィルムを、Q-Lab R-46冷間圧延鋼(Westlake(OH,USA))基材上に適用し、乾燥/硬化させた。周囲温度で3日間乾燥/硬化させた後、フィルム外観を目視評価した。
-- = ひどい亀裂(>mmの亀裂)
- = 亀裂(0.1~1.0mmの亀裂)
++ = 亀裂なし
絶縁性充填剤の熱伝導率は、フィルム自体の熱伝導率の指標を提供することが判明した。これらの値は、この文書を下書きする時に、それぞれの充填剤のその時のデータセットから取得している。このような測定値は、ASTM E1225-13を用いて決定されることが理解される。
各実施例組成物の試料を、4mmのフィルムとしてQ-Lab R-46冷間圧延鋼(Westlake(OH,USA))基材上に適用した。フィルムを、24時間にわたって基材表面上で放置し硬化/乾燥させた。硬化/乾燥期間に続き、コーティング基材を、Harry Gestigkeit GMBH(Dusseldorf,GER)製の温度固定ホットプレート型PZ28-3TD上に8時間置いて、8時間中にフィルムが熱的に安定して保たれているか否かを判定した。ホットプレートにより、最初に120℃で試料を測定した。次いで、置き換え試料を、20℃の間隔で最高300℃まで測定し、フィルムのフィルム熱安定性の限度について、変色、層間剥離、及び/又は亀裂が8時間後に目視可能であるときに記録した。
Claims (21)
- 組成物であって、
1つ以上のシロキサンポリマー、シリコーン樹脂、シリコーン系エラストマー、又はこれらの混合物を含み、任意選択的に、ケイ素結合加水分解性基を含有するシラン及び/又はシロキサンを含む1つ以上の架橋剤成分を含む、バインダーと、
親水性粉末及び/又はゲルであって、100m2/g~1500m2/g以上のBET表面積、及び20℃及び大気圧で0.004~0.05W/m・Kの熱伝導率を有する、1つ以上の非晶質多孔質親水性シリカ、1つ以上の親水性シリカエアロゲル、及びこれらの混合物から選択される、親水性粉末及び/又はゲルと、を含み、
1.0~20.0重量%の前記親水性粉末及び/又はゲル並びに80.0~99.0重量%の前記バインダーを含む、組成物。 - 前記非晶質多孔質親水性シリカが、0.1~100nmの孔径分布を有する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記バインダーが、少なくとも1つのカルビノール基(C-OH)若しくはシラノール基(Si-OH)若しくはSi加水分解性基、又はこれらの混合を有する、1つ以上のシロキサンポリマー及び/又はシリコーン樹脂を含有する、請求項1又は2に記載の組成物。
- 前記シロキサンポリマー及び/又はシリコーン樹脂が2つ以上のシラノール基及び/又はSi加水分解性反応性基を含み、前記バインダーは縮合硬化性であり、架橋性化合物、縮合硬化触媒、及び任意選択的に補強充填剤又は非補強充填剤を更に含む、請求項3に記載の組成物。
- 前記バインダーが、少なくとも1つのアルケニル基(Si-アルケニル)及び/又はケイ素結合水素(Si-H)を有する、1つ以上のシロキサンポリマー及び/又はシリコーン樹脂を含有する、請求項1、2又は3に記載の組成物。
- 前記バインダー、前記シロキサンポリマー及び/又はシリコーン樹脂が少なくとも1つのアルケニル基(Si-アルケニル)及び/又はケイ素結合水素を有する2つ以上を含み、前記バインダーは付加硬化性であり、架橋性化合物、Pt族硬化触媒、任意選択的に補強充填剤又は非補強充填剤を更に含む、請求項5に記載の組成物。
- 前記バインダーが、a)溶液であって、任意選択的に界面活性剤を含有する、溶液、b)エマルジョンであって、任意選択的に界面活性剤を含有する、エマルジョン、又はc)分散体であって、任意選択的に界面活性剤を含有する、分散体である、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記溶液、分散体、又はエマルジョン型バインダーが、前記バインダーの総重量に基づいて、15.0~90.0重量%の溶解性/分散性/乳化性液体を含有する、請求項7に記載の組成物。
- 前記バインダーが、シリコーン系エラストマーを含む、請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記バインダーが、バインダー及び/又は硬化剤としての使用に好適な、更なる無機又は有機成分を更に含む、請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 無機又は有機バインダー系とブレンドされている、請求項10に記載の組成物。
- 前記親水性粉末及び/又はゲルが、レーザー光散乱法(ASTM D4464-15)によって決定して、0.5μm~3000μmの平均サイズを有する凝集体及び/又は集塊粒子を含む、請求項1~11のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 前記非晶質多孔質親水性シリカ及び/又は前記親水性シリカエアロゲルが、0.02~0.2g/cm3の密度、200~1000m2/gの範囲のBET表面積、及び/又は1~75nmの孔径分布を有する、請求項1~12のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 増粘剤、顔料、更なる触媒、更なる補強充填剤及び/又は非補強充填剤、難燃剤、更なる水又は溶媒、泡安定剤、及び/又は任意の他の更なる絶縁性充填剤から選択される1つ以上の添加剤も含み、前記組成物中のこのような添加剤の量は、前記全組成物の重量に基づいて、0.1~80重量%の範囲である、請求項1~13のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 断熱材料又は遮音材料、塗料、コーティング、発泡物品、成形物品、注入物品、ガスケット、シーラント、接着剤、船舶及び配管としての、又はそれらにおける、請求項1~14のいずれか一項に記載の組成物の使用。
- 請求項1~14のいずれか一項に記載の組成物を含む、又はそれからなる材料を基材上に適用することによって得られた、コーティング基材。
- 請求項1~14のいずれか一項に記載の組成物を含む、又はそれからなる材料から得られた、製品。
- 請求項17に記載の製品を含む、又はそれからなる、物品。
- 請求項1~14のいずれか一項に記載の組成物を含む、又はそれからなる材料により表面コーティングされた、基材。
- 請求項1~14のいずれか一項に記載の組成物を使用することによって作製されたコーティング、製品及び物品における亀裂形成の傾向を低減するための、請求項1、2、12及び13のいずれか一項に記載の非晶質多孔質親水性シリカ及び/又は親水性シリカエアロゲルの使用。
- 請求項1及び3~11のいずれか一項に記載のバインダーとの相溶性を改善するための、及び/又は前記バインダーを使用して作製されたコーティング、製品及び物品における亀裂形成の傾向を低減するための、請求項1、2、12及び13のいずれか一項に記載の非晶質多孔質親水性シリカ及び/又は親水性シリカエアロゲルの使用。
