Claims (13)
- 複合導光光学素子(LOE)を作製する方法であって、
複数のLOE前駆体および複数の透明なスペーサプレートの接合されたスタックを提供することであって、前記スタックは、平行表面の第1の対を有し、前記スタックは、前記平行表面の対に垂直な前記スタックの長さに沿って、交互に配置されたLOE前駆体および透明なスペーサプレートを含み、各LOE前駆体は、主平行面の対、および前記主平行面の対に対して傾斜した第1の複数の相互に平行な部分反射性内部面を含むことと、
平行表面の第2の対および前記平行表面の第2の対に対して傾斜した複数の相互に平行な内部面を有する第1の光学ブロックを提供することであって、前記内部面は、少なくとも部分的に反射性であり、それにより前記第1の光学ブロックが、第2の複数の相互に平行な部分反射性内部面を含むことと、
前記第1の光学ブロックの表面のうちの1つが、前記スタックの表面のうちの1つに連結され、前記第1の複数の部分反射性内部面が、前記第2の複数の部分反射性内部面と非平行となるように、前記第1の光学ブロックを前記スタックに接合し、それにより第2の光学ブロックを形成することと、
LOE前駆体が間に挟持された少なくとも2つの連続するスペーサプレートを通して前記第2の光学ブロックを切断することにより、前記第2の光学ブロックから少なくとも1つの複合LOEをスライス状に切り出すことと、を含む方法。 - 前記スタックを前記第1の光学ブロックに接合する前に、前記第1の光学ブロックに連結されることとなる前記スタックの表面を研磨することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の光学ブロックを前記スタックに接合する前に、前記スタックに連結されることとなる前記第1の光学ブロックの表面を研磨することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の光学ブロックを前記スタックに接合する前に、第1の複数の部分反射性内部面と前記第2の複数の部分反射性内部面とが直交するように、前記第1の光学ブロックと前記スタックとを位置合わせすることを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記LOE前駆体の前記主平行面に平行な前記スライス状に切り出された少なくとも1つの複合LOEの外部面を研磨することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の光学ブロックの前記内部面はそれぞれ、部分反射性コーティングにより部分的にのみコーティングされ、内部面は、間隙を間に有する複数の反射性コーティングのストリップを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 複合LOEの作製工程の中間作業生成物である光学構造体であって、前記光学構造体は、
間にある透明なスペーサプレートにより分離された複数のLOE前駆体を含む第1の領域であって、各LOE前駆体は、主外部平行面の対と、前記主外部平行面の対に対して傾斜した第1の複数の相互に平行な部分反射性内部面とを含む、第1の領域と、
前記第1の複数の部分反射性内部面に非平行な第2の複数の相互に平行な部分反射性内部面を含む、第2の領域と、
前記第1の領域と前記第2の領域とを分離する少なくとも1つの内部面であって、前記内部面は、前記主外部平行面の対に垂直である、少なくとも1つの内部面と、を含む、光学構造体。 - 前記第1の領域を含む第1の光学ブロックを、前記第2の領域を含む第2の光学ブロックと接合することにより形成される、請求項7に記載の光学構造体。
- 前記第1の領域と前記第2の領域との間に第3の光学領域をさらに含む、請求項7に記載の光学構造体。
- 前記第3の光学領域は、1つ以上の光学素子を含む、請求項9に記載の光学構造体。
- 前記第3の光学領域は、光学的に不活性である、請求項9に記載の光学構造体。
- 前記第2の領域内の少なくとも1つのサブ領域は、いずれの部分反射性内部面をも有さない、請求項7に記載の光学構造体。
- 前記第1の領域内の各LOE前駆体は、いずれの部分反射性内部面をも有さない少なくとも1つのサブ領域を含む、請求項7に記載の光学構造体。
