Claims (6)
- (a)ハウジングと、該ハウジングに装填された端子とを備え、
(b)前記ハウジングは、相手方コネクタを受入れる上面が開放された受入空間と、該受入空間の左右両側の少なくとも一部を画定する一対の側壁部と、前記受入空間の前側の少なくとも一部を画定する前壁部と、前記受入空間の後側の少なくとも一部を画定する一対の後壁部とを有し、
(c)前記端子は、各側壁部に隣接して前記受入空間の前側に配設される前接触部と、各側壁部に隣接して前記受入空間の後側に配設される後接触部とを有し、前記前接触部及び後接触部は、前後方向に延在する一直線上にほぼ位置し、互いに対向し、前記相手方コネクタの相手方端子を前後から挟持可能であり、
(d)前記前接触部は、前記前壁部から離間した弾性変形可能な帯板状の部材であり、前記受入空間の後側に向けて延出する腕部と、該腕部の先端に接続された接触湾曲部とを含み、前記後接触部は、前記後壁部の少なくとも一部と一体化され、前記前接触部及び後接触部は、前記前接触部が弾性変形することによって、前記相手方端子を弾性的に挟持することを特徴とするコネクタ。 - 前記後接触部の前記受入空間の前側を向く面には、前記相手方端子と係合可能な凹部が形成されている請求項1に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記端子は、前記側壁部の少なくとも一部と一体化されて外面に露出する側部を有し、前記前接触部及び後接触部は、前記側部の前端及び後端にそれぞれ接続されている請求項1又は2に記載のコネクタ。
- (a)ハウジングと、該ハウジングに装填された端子とを備え、
(b)前記ハウジングは、相手方コネクタを受入れる上面が開放された受入空間と、該受入空間の左右両側の少なくとも一部を画定する一対の側壁部と、前記受入空間の前側の少なくとも一部を画定する前壁部と、前記受入空間の後側の少なくとも一部を画定する一対の後壁部とを有し、
(c)前記端子は、各側壁部に隣接して前記受入空間の前側に配設される前接触部と、各側壁部に隣接して前記受入空間の後側に配設される後接触部とを有し、前記前接触部及び後接触部は、前後方向に延在する一直線上にほぼ位置し、互いに対向し、前記相手方コネクタの相手方端子を前後から挟持可能であり、
(d)前記端子は、前記前壁部の少なくとも一部と一体化されて外面に露出する補強部を有し、該補強部は、前記前接触部よりも前記ハウジングの幅方向中心寄りに配設され、前記相手方端子と接触しないことを特徴とするコネクタ。 - 請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載のコネクタと、該コネクタと嵌合可能な相手方コネクタとから成るコネクタ組立体。
- 前記相手方コネクタは、相手方ハウジングと、電線の終端に接続され、前記相手方ハウジングに装填された相手方端子とを備え、
前記相手方ハウジングは、上面部、底面部、左右の側面部、前面部及び後面部によって周囲を画定され、
前記電線は後面部から後方に向けて延出し、
前記相手方端子は、前記前面部に露出する前板部と、前記後面部に露出する後板部とを有し、前記前板部は、前記電線よりも前記相手方ハウジングの幅方向外側であって側面部に隣接する接点領域を含み、該接点領域及び後板部は、前後方向に延在する一直線上にほぼ位置し、前記コネクタの端子の前接触部及び後接触部によって、前後から被挟持可能である請求項5に記載のコネクタ組立体。
