本開示において、語句「Aの上に配置されたB」は、AとBとの相対的な位置関係を示すものであり、その位置関係は、製造時、販売時、又は使用時における電池の向きに依存して限定されるものではない。
本開示の一態様の概要は、以下のとおりである。

まず、本実施の形態に係る電池について説明する。
以下、電池100の各構成についてより具体的に説明する。本実施の形態では、第1電極層12は正極であり、第2電極層11は負極である例を説明する。
次に、本実施の形態に係る積層電池について説明する。
本実施の形態に係る電池の製造方法の一例を説明する。本実施の形態に係る電池の製造方法は、グリーンシート作製工程と、焼成工程とを含む。
本実施の形態に係る積層電池の製造方法の一例を説明する。本実施の形態に係る積層電池の製造方法は、上述した製造方法で得られた電池を複数個、例えば、2個準備し、それらの電池を接続する電極端子を形成する電極端子形成工程と、それらの電池の間に第2熱膨張層16を形成する第2熱膨張層形成工程と、焼成工程とを含む。

Claims (16)
- 主面を有する第1集電体と、
前記第1集電体の前記主面内の第1領域上に配置された積層体と、
前記第1集電体の前記主面内の第2領域上に配置された熱膨張層と、
前記積層体及び前記熱膨張層を挟んで前記第1集電体と対向し、前記積層体及び前記熱膨張層上に配置された第2集電体と、を備え、
前記積層体は、
前記第1領域上に配置された第1活物質層と、
前記第1活物質層上に配置された電解質層と、
前記電解質層上に配置された第2活物質層とを含み、
前記熱膨張層の熱膨張率は、前記積層体の熱膨張率よりも大きく、
前記第1活物質層の前記主面に対向する面の全体は、前記主面に接している、
電池。 - 前記第1集電体は前記第1活物質層に接触し、
前記第2集電体は前記第2活物質層に接触し、
前記電解質層は前記第2活物質層に接触し、
前記電解質層と前記第2活物質層との接合強度は、前記第1集電体と前記第1活物質層との接合強度、及び、前記第2集電体と前記第2活物質層との接合強度のいずれよりも弱い、
請求項1に記載の電池。 - 前記熱膨張層は、所定の温度を超える条件下で、熱膨張によって前記第1集電体と前記第2集電体との距離を大きくさせ、前記電解質層と前記第2活物質層とを引きはがす、
請求項1又は2に記載の電池。 - 前記熱膨張層は、ある転移点において相転移する材料を含み、
前記熱膨張層の前記転移点を超える温度における熱膨張率は、前記熱膨張層の前記転移点未満の温度における熱膨張率よりも大きい、
請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の電池。 - 前記転移点は、沸点又は昇華点である、
請求項4に記載の電池。 - 前記熱膨張層は、前記材料が充填された複数のマイクロカプセルを含む、
請求項4又は5に記載の電池。 - 前記複数のマイクロカプセルのそれぞれは、熱可塑性樹脂の外殻を含む、
請求項6に記載の電池。 - 前記材料の前記転移点と前記熱可塑性樹脂の軟化点との少なくとも一方は、100℃以上、300℃以下の範囲内にある、

前記電解質層と前記第2活物質層との接合強度は、前記第1集電体と前記熱膨張層との接合強度、及び、前記第2集電体と前記熱膨張層との接合強度のいずれよりも弱い、
請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の電池。 - 前記第2領域は、前記第1領域を囲むリング形状を有する、
請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の電池。 - 前記熱膨張層は、前記積層体に接触する、
請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の電池。 - 請求項1から11のいずれか一項に記載の電池である第1電池セルと、
第2電池セルと、
前記第1電池セルと前記第2電池セルとの間に配置された中間層と、を備え、
前記中間層は、
前記第1集電体の第2主面内の第3領域上に配置され、前記第1電池セルと前記第2電池セルとの間を電気的に接続する導電性中間層と、
前記第1集電体の前記第2主面内の第4領域上に配置された熱膨張性中間層と、を含み、
前記熱膨張性中間層の熱膨張率は、前記導電性中間層の熱膨張率よりも大きい、
電池スタック。 - 前記熱膨張性中間層は、所定の温度を超える条件下で、熱膨張によって前記第1電池セルと前記第2電池セルとの距離を大きくさせ、前記第1電池セルと前記第2電池セルとを絶縁させる、
請求項12に記載の電池スタック。 - 前記第4領域は、前記第3領域を囲むリング形状を有する、
