Description
出願は、2016年11月15日に出願された、発明者Anthony A.Ferranteらの米国仮特許出願第62/422,397号明細書の米国特許法35U.S.C.119(e)に基づく恩典を主張し、その開示は参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。

実験室のEOCを用いて、最小の1SCCH(標準立法センチメートル毎時)のO2を発生するのに十分な酸素のガス透過性コアを通じた拡散を実証した。この実験のためのガス透過性コア材料として、3μmの孔径を有するPOREX(登録商標)BM50焼結PTFE(Porex Corporation、ジョージア州フェアバーン)を使用した。EOCの内部構成要素を保護するために、EOCの空気入口ポートを127μm厚シリコーン膜で最初に覆った。シリコーンは性能に何の影響も与えない十分に酸素透過性であった。直径7mm、高さ2mmの円筒形POREX(登録商標)材料を、EOCの1つの入口穴の上のシリコーン膜に取り付けた。次いで皮膚模擬材料(弾道ゲル:脱イオン水中12%ゼラチン)をEOCの表面上に流し込み、POREX(登録商標)材料の上部のみを露出させたままにした。
Claims (35)
- 体の内部と前記体の外部の場所との間で1つ以上のガスの拡散のための経皮的経路を提供するのに適した経皮的ガス拡散装置であって、
(a)長さ、頂部、底部、および外面を有し、ガス透過性で且つ液体不透過性である、コア層であって、前記コア層の前記頂部が前記体の外部に向き、前記コア層の前記底部が前記体の内部に向くように、体内に経皮的に配置可能なコア層と、
(b)前記コア層の長さの少なくとも一部にわたって前記コア層の外面を包囲し、組織一体化材料を含む、外層と、
を備える経皮的ガス拡散装置。 - 前記コア層はオープンポア構造を有する、請求項1に記載の経皮的ガス拡散装置。
- 前記外層は長さを有し、前記外層は前記コア層の前記外面を囲む前記外層の前記長さ全体にわたって前記コア層と直接接触する、請求項1に記載の経皮的ガス拡散装置。
- 前記コア層はクローズドポア構造を有する、請求項1に記載の経皮的ガス拡散装置。
- 前記コア層は無孔の中実材料である、請求項1に記載の経皮的ガス拡散装置。
- 前記コア層は、ポーラスポリマー、非ポーラスガス透過性材料、オープンセルセラミック発泡体、およびポーラス金属からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの材料を含む、請求項1に記載の経皮的ガス拡散装置。
- 前記コア層の前記少なくとも1つの材料は疎水性ポリマーで処理される、請求項6に記載の経皮的ガス拡散装置。
- 前記コア層は円柱形又は円筒形である、請求項1に記載の経皮的ガス拡散装置。
- 前記コア層は、5mm以下の直径および1.2~10mmの長さを有する、請求項8に記載の経皮的ガス拡散装置。

- 前記外層の組織一体化材料は、オープンセルシリコーン発泡体、パターン化マイクロポーラス材料、オープンセルウレタン発泡体、焼結ポリマー材料からなる群から選択される、少なくとも1つのポーラス生体適合性材料である、請求項1に記載の経皮的ガス拡散装置。
- 前記外層は、0.2~1.0mmの厚さおよび1.2~2.0mmの長さを有する、請求項1に記載の経皮的ガス拡散装置。

を備えるインプラントシステム。 - 前記インプラント装置は、移植された細胞および移植された組織のうちの少なくとも1つを保持するための皮下容器であり、前記皮下容器は酸素入口を備え、前記経皮的ガス拡散装置は前記酸素入口に流体接続されている、請求項29に記載のインプラントシステム。
