Description
本発明の実施の形態について、図1乃至図4を参照して説明する。なお、以下に説明する実施の形態は、本発明を実施する上での好適な具体例として示すものであり、技術的に好ましい種々の技術的事項を具体的に例示している部分もあるが、本発明の技術的範囲は、この具体的態様に限定されるものではない。
図2は、駆動力伝達装置2の構成例を示す断面図である。図2において、回転軸線Oよりも上側は駆動力伝達装置2の作動状態(トルク伝達状態)を、下側は駆動力伝達装置2の非作動状態(トルク非伝達状態)を、それぞれ示す。以下、回転軸線Oに平行な方向を軸方向という。
制御装置10は、演算処理装置であるCPU101と、ROMやRAM等の半導体記憶素子からなる記憶部102とを有している。CPU101は、記憶部102に記憶されたプログラムを実行する。
以上説明した本発明の実施の形態によれば、車速が所定値(ステップS3の車速の閾値)以上でかつ左右前輪181,182のスリップ率が共に所定値(ステップS3のスリップ率の閾値)未満である非スリップ状態の継続時間が所定時間(ステップS9の閾値)以上となったとき、路面状態が高μ状態であると判定する。すなわち、四輪駆動車1が定常走行状態であっても、非スリップ状態が所定時間以上にわたって継続することにより路面状態が高μ状態であると判定することができるので、定常走行状態でも路面状態を適切に判定することができる。
以上、本発明を実施の形態に基づいて説明したが、これらの実施の形態は特許請求の範囲に係る発明を限定するものではない。また、実施の形態の中で説明した特徴の組合せの全てが発明の課題を解決するための手段に必須であるとは限らない点に留意すべきである。

- 駆動源の駆動力が常に伝達される左右一対の主駆動輪及び前記駆動源の駆動力が駆動力伝達装置を介して調節可能に伝達される左右一対の補助駆動輪を有する四輪駆動車に搭載され、前記駆動力伝達装置を制御する制御装置であって、
前記四輪駆動車の走行状態及び路面状態に応じて前記駆動力伝達装置を介して前記左右一対の補助駆動輪に伝達すべき駆動力を示す指令トルクを演算し、前記指令トルクに基づいて前記駆動力伝達装置を制御する駆動力制御手段と、
車速が所定値以上でかつ前記左右一対の主駆動輪のスリップ率が共に所定値未満である非スリップ状態の継続時間が所定時間以上となったとき、前記路面状態が高μ状態であると判定する路面状態判定手段と、を備え、

外気温が路面に凍結が発生し得る所定温度以上の場合もしくは左右一対の転舵輪のタイヤに加わる外力であるタイヤ反力が圧雪路や凍結路では発生することのない所定値以上の場合には、非スリップ状態の継続時間にかかわらず、前記路面状態が高μ状態であると判定する、
