Claims (5)
- 内部に空間を有する本体部と、
前記空間に設けられた基板に配置され、所定の配列方向に沿って並んだ複数の発熱体を有するサーマルヘッドと、
前記配列方向と交差する搬送経路に沿って感熱紙を搬送する搬送手段と、
前記空間のうち前記搬送経路に対して前記サーマルヘッド側の第一空間に設けられ、温度を検出する第一温度センサと、
前記空間のうち前記搬送経路に対して前記サーマルヘッドとは反対側の第二空間に設けられ、温度を検出する第二温度センサと、
所定のテスト印刷データに基づくテスト印刷を行うテスト印刷制御手段と、
前記テスト印刷制御手段による1回の前記テスト印刷において、前記第一温度センサによって検出された温度である第一温度と前記第二温度センサによって検出された温度である第二温度とを取得し、取得した前記第一温度と前記第二温度とに基づいて、前記感熱紙の種類に基づく媒体パラメータを特定する特定手段と、
前記第一温度と前記第二温度とを取得し、取得した前記第一温度と前記第二温度と前記特定手段によって特定された前記媒体パラメータとに基づいて、前記複数の発熱体に印加するエネルギーである印加エネルギーの量を補正する補正手段と、
前記補正手段によって補正された量の前記印加エネルギーを前記複数の発熱体に対して選択的に印加して発熱させることで、発熱した前記発熱体を用いて前記感熱紙に加熱による印刷を行う印刷制御手段と
を備えたことを特徴とする印刷装置。 - 前記第二空間に設けられ、連続して繋がった状態の前記感熱紙によって構成される前記感熱紙の供給源を支持する支持部を備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の印刷装置。
- 前記第二温度センサは、前記複数の発熱体よりも前記搬送経路の上流側に設けられることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の印刷装置。
- 前記第二温度センサは、前記配列方向において、前記サーマルヘッドの幅内に設けられることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の印刷装置。
- 前記基板に設けられ、前記印刷制御手段による前記印加エネルギーの印加によって発熱した前記発熱体の熱を放出する放熱部を備え、
前記第一温度センサは、前記基板または前記放熱部に設けられることを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の印刷装置。
