Claims (5)
- 複数の第1粒子と、複数の第2粒子とからなる炭化タングステン粒子を含有する基体を備えた切削インサートであって、
前記第2粒子の平均粒径は、前記第1粒子の平均粒径よりも大きく、
前記第1粒子と、前記第2粒子とは、互いに混合分散して基体中に位置しており、
前記炭化タングステン粒子の粒径分布を0.025μm間隔で測定した場合において、前記粒径分布は、最大ピーク及び2番目のピークとして、粒径が0.5〜0.9μmの範囲に現れる第1ピーク値と、粒径が1.1〜1.5μmの範囲に現れる第2ピーク値とを有し、
前記第1ピーク値及び前記第2ピーク値の間での最も粒径分布頻度の値が小さい谷部での該粒径分布頻度の値が0より大きいことを特徴とする切削インサート。 - 前記谷部での粒径分布頻度の値が、前記第1ピーク値及び前記第2ピーク値のそれぞれに対して1/2以上であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記第1ピーク値をP1、前記第2ピーク値をP2としたとき、前記P1が前記P2よりも大きいことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記P2に対する前記P1の比率(P1/P2)が、2以下であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の切削インサート。
- 先端側にポケットを有するホルダと、
前記ポケットに位置する請求項1〜4のいずれか1つに記載の切削インサートとを備えた切削工具。
