Description
先ず、図1ないし図4を参照して本発明の実施例による反射偏光モジュールが適用されたバックライトユニットの概略的構成について詳察してみると、次のとおりである。
一方、上述したように、上記コーティング層430に上記拡散パターン434が備えられることによって、上記第1集光シート410及び反射偏光シート420を通過した光を一定の角度で拡散させて接合ラインなどの品質低下に問題となる欠陷(defect)を遮蔽させる。
次いで、図5ないし図7を参照して、本発明による上記反射偏光モジュール400で別途の上記接着層440がさらに含まれた状態を見ると次のとおりである。
Claims (4)
- 屈折率が相互異なる複数個のレイヤーが積層されて光を選択的に透過させる反射偏光シート;
上部へ行くほど横断面積が減少する第1単位集光体が連続的に繰り返される第1構造化パターンを有し、上記第1単位集光体の上側端部の一部が消失され、消失された上記第1単位集光体の上記上側端部の横方向の幅が第1幅を有して上記第1単位集光体の上記上側端部が上記反射偏光シートの下部で直接接合される第1集光シート;及び
上記反射偏光シートの上面に位置し、上面に突出された複数個の拡散突起からなる拡散パターンが形成されて上記反射偏光シートを透過して伝達される光を拡散させるコーティング層;を含み、
上記複数個の拡散突起のうち、少なくとも一部は上記横方向の最大長さが上記第1幅より相対的に小さく形成され、上記複数個の拡散突起は、上記第1単位集光体と上記反射偏光シートの接合面を通過して集光されなかった光を拡散させ、
上記第1構造化パターンは、上記第1単位集光体が長く延長された形態で繰り返して形成され、延長方向に沿って高さが変化することを特徴とする反射偏光モジュール。 - 上記拡散突起は、
不均一な大きさを持って不規則的に上記コーティング層の上面に形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の反射偏光モジュール。 - 上記第1集光シートは、
上記第1単位集光体の最下端部から最上端部に至る垂直の距離が不均一に構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の反射偏光モジュール。 - 一側に光源が備えられ、上記光源から発生する光を下部に伝達する導光板;
上記導光板の下面に積層されて上記導光板を通過して伝達される光を上部に反射させる反射板;
上記導光板の上部に積層され、下部から伝達される光を均一に拡散させる拡散シート、及び上記拡散シートの上部に結合されて上部へ行くほど横断面積が減少する第2単位集光体が連続的に繰り返される第2構造化パターンを有する第2集光シートを含む光学モジュール;及び
屈折率が相互異なる複数個のレイヤーが積層され、光を選択的に透過させる反射偏光シート、上記反射偏光シートの下部から上部へ行くほど横断面積が減少する第1単位集光体が連続的に繰り返される第1構造化パターンを有し、上記第1単位集光体の上側端部の一部が消失され、消失された上記第1単位集光体の上記上側端部の横方向の幅が第1幅を有して上記第1単位集光体の上記上側端部が上記反射偏光シートの下部で直接接合される第1集光シート、及び上記反射偏光シートの上面に位置し、上面に突出された複数個の拡散突起からなる拡散パターンが形成されて上記反射偏光シートを透過して伝達される光を拡散させるコーティング層を含む反射偏光モジュール;を含み、
上記複数個の拡散突起のうち、少なくとも一部は上記横方向の最大長さが上記第1幅より相対的に小さく形成され、上記複数個の拡散突起は、上記第1単位集光体と上記反射偏光シートの接合面を通過して集光されなかった光を拡散させ、
上記第1構造化パターンは、上記第1単位集光体が長く延長された形態で繰り返して形成され、延長方向に沿って高さが変化することを特徴とするバックライトユニット。
