Description
弁体と、前記弁体と接して燃料をシールする弁座を形成するシート面と、前記シート面の面上に形成され前記シート面の中心を中心とする同一の円周上に配置された入口開口面を有する複数の噴孔と、を備えた燃料噴射装置において、
前記複数の噴孔は、一つの第1噴孔と、前記円周上で前記第1噴孔と隣り合う位置に配置されると共に前記円周上で前記第1噴孔を挟む位置に配置されることにより前記第1噴孔を除く他の噴孔よりも前記第1噴孔に最も近接して配置される二つの第2噴孔と、を含み、
前記第1噴孔は、前記第2噴孔よりも、前記シート面の法線方向と噴孔の中心軸線とがなす角度である噴孔角度が大きく、
前記二つの第2噴孔のそれぞれは、前記第1噴孔よりも、噴孔の中心軸線に垂直な断面の面積が大きく、
前記第1噴孔及び前記第2噴孔は、前記二つの第2噴孔のそれぞれから噴射される燃料の割合が前記第1噴孔から噴射される燃料の割合よりも相対的に多くなるように構成され、かつ前記第2噴孔は、前記第1噴孔に対する前記円周上における位置が、前記二つの第2噴孔のそれぞれにおける前記断面の面積を前記第1噴孔の前記断面の面積よりも大きくすることにより、前記二つの第2噴孔のそれぞれにおける前記断面の面積を前記第1噴孔の前記断面の面積と同じ大きさとなるように小さくした場合と比べて、前記第1噴孔を流れる燃料が減少するように、配置され、
前記第1噴孔から噴射される燃料噴霧が点火プラグ側又はピストン側を指向する状態で、筒内直接噴射型の内燃機関に取り付けられる。
また本発明によれば、ピストン側を指向する噴霧を噴射する第3噴孔に対して、第4噴孔における噴孔の中心軸線に垂直な断面の面積を大きくすることにより、各噴孔から噴射される燃料噴霧を適切に配置することができ、燃料噴霧が吸気弁やエンジン筒内の壁面、或いはピストンに付着し難い燃料噴射装置を提供することができる。
式(1)より、噴孔径Doが小さくなると、流速voが大きくなる。その結果、噴霧の貫徹力が大きくなるため、燃料噴霧の到達距離(ペネトレーション)は長くなる。ペネトレーションが長くなることで、シリンダ220の筒内壁面210、ピストン209および排気バルブ211への燃料付着が増加する。筒内壁面210やピストン209に付着した燃料は気化しにくいため、PNが増加する場合がある。
第3噴孔1104のザグリ部1114の内径Da3と第4噴孔1105,1106のザグリ部1115,1116の内径Da4とは、実施例1で説明したザグリ部511の内径Da1とザグリ部512,513の内径Da2との関係と同様な関係を有する。
Claims (8)
- 弁体と、前記弁体と接して燃料をシールする弁座を形成するシート面と、前記シート面の面上に形成され前記シート面の中心を中心とする同一の円周上に配置された入口開口面を有する複数の噴孔と、を備えた燃料噴射装置において、
前記複数の噴孔は、一つの第1噴孔と、前記円周上で前記第1噴孔と隣り合う位置に配置されると共に前記円周上で前記第1噴孔を挟む位置に配置されることにより前記第1噴孔を除く他の噴孔よりも前記第1噴孔に最も近接して配置される二つの第2噴孔と、を含み、
前記第1噴孔は、前記第2噴孔よりも、前記シート面の法線方向と噴孔の中心軸線とがなす角度である噴孔角度が大きく、
前記二つの第2噴孔のそれぞれは、前記第1噴孔よりも、噴孔の中心軸線に垂直な断面の面積が大きく、
前記第1噴孔及び前記第2噴孔は、前記二つの第2噴孔のそれぞれから噴射される燃料の割合が前記第1噴孔から噴射される燃料の割合よりも相対的に多くなるように構成され、かつ前記第2噴孔は、前記第1噴孔に対する前記円周上における位置が、前記二つの第2噴孔のそれぞれにおける前記断面の面積を前記第1噴孔の前記断面の面積よりも大きくすることにより、前記二つの第2噴孔のそれぞれにおける前記断面の面積を前記第1噴孔の前記断面の面積と同じ大きさとなるように小さくした場合と比べて、前記第1噴孔を流れる燃料が減少するように、配置され、
前記第1噴孔から噴射される燃料噴霧が点火プラグ側又はピストン側を指向する状態で、筒内直接噴射型の内燃機関に取り付けられることを特徴とする燃料噴射装置。 - 請求項1に記載の燃料噴射装置において、
前記第1噴孔は、前記複数の噴孔に含まれる全ての噴孔の中で、噴孔角度が最も大きく、かつ噴孔の中心軸線に垂直な断面の面積が最も小さいことを特徴とする燃料噴射装置。 - 請求項1に記載の燃料噴射装置において、
前記複数の噴孔は、前記他の噴孔として、第3噴孔と、前記円周上において前記第3噴孔を挟むように配置された2つの第4噴孔と、を含み、
前記二つの第4噴孔のそれぞれにおける噴孔の中心軸線に垂直な断面の面積は、前記第3噴孔における噴孔の中心軸線に垂直な断面の面積よりも大きいことを特徴とする燃料噴射装置。 - 請求項3に記載の燃料噴射装置において、
前記第3噴孔は、前記シート面の前記中心を挟んで、前記第1噴孔の反対側に配置されることを特徴とする燃料噴射装置。 - 請求項1に記載の燃料噴射装置において、
前記第1噴孔から噴射される燃料噴霧が点火プラグ側を指向する状態で、筒内直接噴射型の内燃機関に取り付けられることを特徴とする燃料噴射装置。 - 請求項1に記載の燃料噴射装置において、
前記第1噴孔から噴射される燃料噴霧がピストン側を指向する状態で、筒内直接噴射型の内燃機関に取り付けられることを特徴とする燃料噴射装置。 - 請求項1に記載の燃料噴射装置において、
前記第1噴孔および前記第2噴孔は、噴孔の中心軸線に垂直な断面が円形に形成され、
前記第1噴孔の下流側に、前記第1噴孔の孔径よりも内径が大きい第1ザグリ部が形成され、
前記第2噴孔の下流側に、前記第2噴孔の孔径よりも内径が大きい第2ザグリ部が形成され、
前記第1ザグリ部の内径は、前記第2ザグリ部の内径よりも小さいことを特徴とする燃料噴射装置。 - 請求項1に記載の燃料噴射装置において、
前記複数の噴孔は、前記円周上において、前記二つの第2噴孔に対して前記第1噴孔とは反対側に配置され、前記二つの第2噴孔のそれぞれに隣接する二つの第4噴孔を含み、
前記シート面の面上において、前記第1噴孔の中心軸線と前記シート面の前記中心とを結ぶ第1噴孔中心線と、前記第2噴孔の中心軸線と前記シート面の前記中心とを結ぶ第2噴孔中心線と、前記第4噴孔の中心軸線と前記シート面の前記中心とを結ぶ第4噴孔中心線と、を仮想した場合に、
前記第1噴孔中心線と前記第2噴孔中心線とがなす第1噴孔中心線角度は、前記第2噴孔中心線と前記第4噴孔中心線とがなす第2噴孔中心線角度よりも小さいことを特徴とする燃料噴射装置。
