Claims (9)
- 超音波を送受信する計測機器用の超音波振動子であって、
音響整合層を兼ねる略円板状の基材と、前記基材に対して接合された前面及びその反対側にある背面を有する略円板状の圧電素子とを備え、
前記基材の面積は前記圧電素子の面積よりも大きくなっており、
前記圧電素子には、互いに交差しないように面方向に延びる溝部が複数形成されるとともに、前記溝部を介して複数の帯状の振動部が配設され、
前記圧電素子の中心からの距離が遠くなる程、前記振動部の長さが短くなっており、
複数の前記振動部が、前記圧電素子の前記前面側の端部において互いに繋がっており、
前記圧電素子は、第1の周波数帯で厚さ方向に振動するとともに、前記第1の周波数帯よりも低い第2の周波数帯で径方向に振動する
ことを特徴とする計測機器用の超音波振動子。 - 前記振動部の幅の最大値は前記圧電素子の厚さよりも小さく、前記圧電素子の厚さは前記圧電素子の外径よりも小さいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の計測機器用の超音波振動子。
- 前記振動部の幅の最大値は、前記圧電素子の厚さの4分の1以上2分の1以下であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の計測機器用の超音波振動子。
- 前記圧電素子の外径は、前記圧電素子の厚さの2倍以上であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の計測機器用の超音波振動子。
- 前記溝部の深さは、前記圧電素子の厚さの80%以上100%未満であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の計測機器用の超音波振動子。
- 前記溝部が全体的に空隙となっていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載の計測機器用の超音波振動子。
- 1本の前記溝部について、前記溝部の内部領域が、充填材が充填される充填領域と、前記充填材が充填されない非充填領域とからなることを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載の計測機器用の超音波振動子。
- 前記溝部の内部領域の全体に充填材が充填されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載の計測機器用の超音波振動子。
- 前記充填材の固有音響インピーダンスが前記圧電素子の固有音響インピーダンスの10分の1以上であって、前記充填材の比重が1.5以下であることを特徴とする請求項7または8に記載の計測機器用の超音波振動子。
