Description
前記金属環の外縁よりも径方向外側において前記金属環を囲うように突出する円環状の外方部材側堰部が前記芯金に設けられ、前記外方部材側堰部の内周面に潤滑材を保持する外方部材側拡径部が形成されるものである。
図4(b)に示すように、内方部材側堰部9dに受け止められているグリースgrの量が限界量を超えた場合、グリースgrは、内方部材側堰部9dから芯金8の外方部材側堰部8fに向かって流出する(黒塗矢印)。グリースgrは、内方部材側堰部9dによって内方部材側堰部9dの先端と径方向で重複する位置に形成されている外方部材側拡径部8gに案内される。グリースgrは、外方部材側拡径部8gである溝の内部に流入し、保持される。つまり、グリースgrは、内方部材側堰部9dから流出しても外方部材側拡径部8gによって捕獲される。さらに、外方部材側拡径部8gのグリースgrは、外気と接触している外方部材側堰部8fを介して冷却されることで粘度が増大し、外方部材側拡径部8gから流出し難くなる。

Claims (6)
- 内周に複列の外側転走面が一体に形成された外方部材と、
外周に軸方向に延びる小径段部が形成されたハブ輪、およびこのハブ輪の小径段部に圧入された少なくとも一つの内輪からなり、外周に前記複列の外側転走面に対向する複列の内側転走面が形成された内方部材と、
この内方部材と前記外方部材のそれぞれの転走面間に転動自在に収容された複列の転動体と、
芯金が前記外方部材の開口部に嵌合され、金属環が前記芯金に対向するようにして前記内方部材の外周部に嵌合され、前記芯金に弾性体からなるシールリップが設けられ、前記金属環に前記シールリップが接触することで前記外方部材と内方部材との間をシールするシール部材と、を備えた車輪用軸受装置において、
前記金属環の外縁よりも径方向外側において前記金属環を囲うように突出する円環状の外方部材側堰部が前記芯金に設けられ、
前記外方部材側堰部の内周面に潤滑材を保持する外方部材側拡径部が形成され、
前記金属環のシールリップ接触位置よりも径方向外側に、前記外方部材に向かって突出する円環状の内方部材側堰部が前記金属環に設けられ、
前記内方部材側堰部の内周面に前記潤滑材を保持する内方部材側拡径部が形成され、
前記潤滑材はグリースであり、
前記外方部材側堰部および前記内方部材側堰部は、前記外方部材の外周面よりも径方向内側に設けられる
車輪用軸受装置。 - 内周に複列の外側転走面が一体に形成された外方部材と、
外周に軸方向に延びる小径段部が形成されたハブ輪、およびこのハブ輪の小径段部に圧入された少なくとも一つの内輪からなり、外周に前記複列の外側転走面に対向する複列の内側転走面が形成された内方部材と、
この内方部材と前記外方部材のそれぞれの転走面間に転動自在に収容された複列の転動体と、
芯金が前記外方部材の開口部に嵌合され、金属環が前記芯金に対向するようにして前記内方部材の外周部に嵌合され、前記芯金に弾性体からなるシールリップが設けられ、前記金属環に前記シールリップが接触することで前記外方部材と内方部材との間をシールするシール部材と、を備えた車輪用軸受装置において、
前記金属環の外縁よりも径方向外側において前記金属環を囲うように突出する円環状の外方部材側堰部が前記外方部材に設けられ、
前記外方部材側堰部の内周面に潤滑材を保持する外方部材側拡径部が形成され、
前記金属環のシールリップ接触位置よりも径方向外側に、前記外方部材に向かって突出する円環状の内方部材側堰部が前記金属環に設けられ、
前記内方部材側堰部の内周面に前記潤滑材を保持する内方部材側拡径部が形成され、
前記潤滑材はグリースであり、
前記内方部材側堰部は、前記外方部材の外周面よりも径方向内側に設けられる
車輪用軸受装置。 - 前記内方部材側堰部の先端と外方部材側拡径部とが、径方向で重複するように構成される
請求項1または請求項2に記載の車輪用軸受装置。 - 前記外方部材側拡径部と内方部材側拡径部とのうち少なくとも一方が円環状の溝に形成される
請求項1から請求項3の何れか一項に記載の車輪用軸受装置。 - 前記外方部材側拡径部と内方部材側拡径部とのうち少なくとも一方が円環状の凹曲面に形成される
請求項1から請求項3の何れか一項に記載の車輪用軸受装置。 - 前記外方部材側堰部と内方部材側堰部とのうち少なくとも一方の内径が先端に向かって縮径するように形成される
