Description
(1)外輪部材と、複数の転動体を介して前記外輪部材に対して回転可能に設けられる内輪部材と、前記複数の転動体を周方向で略等間隔に保持する保持器と、前記外輪部材と前記内輪部材との間の軸受内部空間を塞ぐシール部材と、を備えるハブユニット軸受であって、前記シール部材は、前記外輪部材の内径面に固定される円筒部と前記円筒部から径方向内側に延びる鍔部とを有する円環状の芯金と、前記芯金に固着される弾性シール部と、を備え、前記弾性シール部は、軸方向で前記軸受内部空間側に設けられ、前記内輪部材に摺接する第1接触リップと、軸方向で前記軸受内部空間と反対側に設けられ、前記内輪部材に摺接する第2接触リップと、第1接触リップと第2接触リップとの間に設けられ、前記内輪部材との間にラビリンスシールを形成する非接触リップと、を有し、前記第1接触リップの基端部と前記非接触リップの基端部とを一体に形成した一体部と前記芯金の前記鍔部の内径側端部との間の部分の軸方向両側に、括れ部がそれぞれ形成されることを特徴とするハブユニット軸受。
(2)前記非接触リップは、その先端部側の肉厚を基端部側の肉厚よりも大きくした形状に形成されることを特徴とする(1)に記載のハブユニット軸受。
例えば、本実施形態では、第1シール部材と第2シール部材の両方に本発明を適用する場合を例示したが、これに限定されず、第1シール部材と第2シール部材の一方に本発明を適用するようにしてもよい。また、外輪部材にインボード側の第1シール部材の代わりにキャップを取り付けてもよい。
また、ハブユニット軸受は、図1に示す駆動輪用のハブユニット軸受に限定されず、従動輪用のハブユニット軸受であってもよい。

- 外輪部材と、複数の転動体を介して前記外輪部材に対して回転可能に設けられる内輪部材と、前記複数の転動体を周方向で略等間隔に保持する保持器と、前記外輪部材と前記内輪部材との間の軸受内部空間を塞ぐシール部材と、を備えるハブユニット軸受であって、
前記シール部材は、前記外輪部材の内径面に固定される円筒部と前記円筒部から径方向内側に延びる鍔部とを有する円環状の芯金と、前記芯金に固着される弾性シール部と、を備え、
前記弾性シール部は、軸方向で前記軸受内部空間側に設けられ、前記内輪部材に摺接する第1接触リップと、軸方向で前記軸受内部空間と反対側に設けられ、前記内輪部材に摺接する第2接触リップと、第1接触リップと第2接触リップとの間に設けられ、前記内輪部材との間にラビリンスシールを形成する非接触リップと、を有し、
前記第1接触リップの基端部と前記非接触リップの基端部とを一体に形成した一体部と前記芯金の前記鍔部の内径側端部との間の部分の軸方向両側に、括れ部がそれぞれ形成され、
前記軸受内部空間側の前記括れ部の底位置は、径方向から見て、前記芯金の前記鍔部と重畳し、
中立状態では、前記非接触リップの外径側が膨出するように弧状に変形し、
負荷圏状態では、前記非接触リップの弧状の変形が前記中立状態よりも強くなり、
反負荷圏状態では、前記非接触リップの弧状の変形が前記中立状態よりも弱くなる、
ことを特徴とするハブユニット軸受。 - 前記非接触リップは、その先端部側の肉厚を基端部側の肉厚よりも大きくした形状に形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のハブユニット軸受。
