(前記化学式1中、M2は、Al、Cu、Fe、V、Cr、Ti、Zr、Zn、Ta、Nb、Mg、B、WおよびMoからなる群から選択されるいずれか一つまたは二つ以上の元素を含むものであってもよく、a、x、y、zおよびwは、それぞれ独立して、当該元素の原子分率であり、−0.5≦a≦0.5、0≦x≦1、0≦y≦1、0≦z≦1、0≦w≦1および0<x+y+z≦1である)

実施例1‐1の束型カーボンナノチューブと比較例1‐1の絡み合い状カーボンナノチューブに対して、下記のような方法により、2次構造の形状、カーボンナノチューブ単位体(CNT単位体)の平均ストランド直径、CNT単位体の平均長さ、BET比表面積、かさ密度および真密度をそれぞれ測定し、その結果を下記表1に示した。
組成物の全重量に対して、下記表2に記載のカーボンナノチューブ5重量%、分散剤1.0重量%および分散媒94重量%を含む組成物を均質混合装置(VMA LC55、Impeller/3,000rpm)を用いて60分間混合した。結果の混合物に対して、ネッチビーズミル(NETZSCH Mini‐cer、ビーズのサイズ:1mm/3,000rpm)を用いて下記表2に記載の時間の間に循環して行い、束型カーボンナノチューブを含む実施例2‐1、実施例2‐2、比較例2‐1〜比較例2‐3の導電材分散液を取得した。
実施例2‐1、実施例2‐2、比較例2‐1〜比較例2‐3の導電材分散液に対して、位相角を測定した。
実施例2‐1、実施例2‐2、比較例2‐1〜比較例2‐3の導電材分散液に対して、粒度分布および導電材の含有量をそれぞれ測定した。その結果を下記表4に示した。
組成物の全重量に対して、下記表5に記載の導電材分散液16.8重量%、正極活物質81.5重量%およびバインダー1.7重量%を混合し、実施例3‐1、実施例3‐2、比較例3‐1〜比較例3‐3の正極形成用組成物を製造した。
実施例3‐1、実施例3‐2、比較例3‐1〜比較例3‐3の正極形成用組成物に対して、位相角を測定した。
下記表7に記載の正極形成用組成物を630mg/25cm2のローディング量でアルミニウム集電体に塗布した後、130℃で乾燥した後、圧延し、実施例4‐1、実施例4‐2、比較例4‐1〜比較例4‐3の正極を製造した。
実施例4‐1、実施例4‐2、比較例4‐1〜比較例4‐3の正極を顕微鏡で観察した。その結果を図3に示した。
負極活物質として、天然黒鉛、カーボンブラック導電材、カルボキシメチルセルロース(CMC)およびスチレンブタジエンゴム(SBR)バインダーを85:10:1:4の重量比で含む混合物353gと、N‐メチルピロリドン250mlとを混合して負極形成用組成物を製造し、これを300mg/25cm2のローディング量で銅集電体に塗布し、負極を製造した。
実施例5‐1、実施例5‐2、比較例5‐1〜比較例5‐3のリチウム二次電池に対して、レート別の容量特性を観察した。
Claims (16)
- 電極活物質と、
バインダーと、
導電材分散液とを含み、
レオメータ測定の際、周波数が1Hzである時に、常温の位相角が15゜〜35゜である、リチウム二次電池の電極形成用組成物であって、
前記導電材分散液が、
束型(bundle‐type)カーボンナノチューブを含む導電材と、
分散剤と、
分散媒とを含み、
レオメータ測定の際、周波数が1Hzである時に、常温の位相角が3゜〜18゜であり、
前記分散剤は、ゴムの全重量に対して、水素化した共役ジエン由来構造単位を20重量%〜80重量%含む水素化したニトリルブタジエン系ゴムを含む、
電極形成用組成物。 - 前記カーボンナノチューブは、平均ストランド直径が10nm〜30nmであるカーボンナノチューブ単位体を含む、請求項1に記載の電極形成用組成物。
- 前記カーボンナノチューブは、導電材分散液の全重量に対して、1重量%〜33重量%含まれる、請求項1に記載の電極形成用組成物。
- 前記水素化したニトリルブタジエン系ゴムは、ゴムの全重量に対して、α,β‐不飽和ニトリル由来構造単位を10重量%〜70重量%含む、請求項1に記載の電極形成用組成物。
- 前記水素化したニトリルブタジエン系ゴムは、ゴムの全重量に対して、水素化した共役ジエン由来構造単位20重量%〜80重量%と、α,β‐不飽和ニトリル由来構造単位10重量%〜70重量%と、共役ジエン由来構造単位1重量%〜15重量%とを含む部分水素化したニトリルブタジエン系ゴムである、請求項1に記載の電極形成用組成物。
- 前記水素化したニトリルブタジエン系ゴムは、重量平均分子量が10,000g/mol〜700,000g/molであり、多分散指数が2.0〜6.0である、請求項1に記載の電極形成用組成物。
- 前記分散剤は、前記カーボンナノチューブ100重量部に対して、1重量部〜50重量部含まれる、請求項1に記載の電極形成用組成物。
- 前記分散剤は、カーボンナノチューブの表面に導入されてカーボンナノチューブ‐分散剤の複合体を形成し、
前記カーボンナノチューブ‐分散剤の複合体は、粒度分布D99が100μm以下であり、分散液の全重量に対して、1〜5重量%の含有量で含まれる、請求項1に記載の電極形成用組成物。 - 前記分散媒は、アミド系有機溶媒である、請求項1に記載の電極形成用組成物。
- リチウム二次電池電極用導電材として使用されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電極形成用組成物。
- 前記導電材分散液は、電極形成用組成物の全重量に対して、1重量%〜50重量%含まれる、請求項1に記載の電極形成用組成物。
- 束型カーボンナノチューブを含む導電材、分散剤および分散媒を混合した後、レオメータ測定の際、周波数が1Hzである時に、常温の位相角が3゜〜18゜になるようにミリングするステップを含む、請求項1に記載の電極形成用組成物の製造方法。
- 前記ミリングは、ビーズミルにより行われる、請求項12に記載の電極形成用組成物の製造方法。
- 前記ミリングは、平均直径0.5mm〜2mmのビーズミルを用いて60分〜120分間行われる、請求項13に記載の電極形成用組成物の製造方法。
- 請求項1から11の何れか一項に記載の電極形成用組成物を用いて製造される、リチウム二次電池用電極。
- 正極と、負極と、セパレータと、電解質とを含み、
前記正極および負極のうち少なくとも一つは、請求項15に記載のリチウム二次電池用電極である、リチウム二次電池。
