Claims (12)
- 内燃機関の吸気系に排気系からの排気ガスを再循環するEGRバルブを有する外部EGR装置と、前記内燃機関の吸気系に設けられ、前記内燃機関に吸入される空気の空気流量を測定する空気流量センサと、排気ガスが混合された混合ガスのEGR率を検出するEGRセンサとを備えた内燃機関に使用され、少なくとも前記空気流量センサ、及び前記EGRセンサに基づき混合ガスのEGR率を推定するEGR推定手段を備えた内燃機機関の制御装置において、
前記EGR推定手段は、前記吸気系を流れる混合ガスの流量を調整するスロットルバルブの下流側に設けた前記EGRセンサの検出信号を入力として第1のEGR率を求める第1機能部と、少なくとも前記空気流量センサ、前記EGRバルブの開度センサ、前記スロットルバルブの開度センサの1つ以上の検出信号を入力として所定の演算を行なって第2のEGR率を推定する第2機能部と、前記第2のEGR率を前記EGRセンサの応答遅れに対応して応答遅れ処理して第3のEGR率を求める第3機能部と、更に、前記第3のEGR率と前記第1のEGR率の差分を反映して前記第2のEGR率を学習補正する第4機能部を備えていることを特徴とする内燃機機関の制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載の内燃機関の制御装置において、
前記EGRセンサは、少なくとも前記吸気系に設けられ混合ガスの湿度を検出する混合ガス湿度センサから構成されていることを特徴とする内燃機関の制御装置。 - 請求項2に記載の内燃機関の制御装置において、
前記EGRセンサは、前記混合ガス湿度センサに加えて、前記吸気系に設けられ空気の湿度を検出する大気湿度センサから構成されていることを特徴とする内燃機関の制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載の内燃機関の制御装置において、
前記EGRセンサは、前記吸気系に設けられ混合ガスの酸素濃度を検出する吸気側酸素濃度センサから構成されていることを特徴とする内燃機関の制御装置。 - 請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関の制御装置において、
前記第2機能部は、混合ガスの挙動を模擬する複数の数式からなる物理モデルを演算して前記第2のEGR率を推定することを特徴とする内燃機関の制御装置。 - 請求項5に記載の内燃機関の制御装置において、
前記第4機能部は、前記第3のEGR率と前記第1のEGR率とが所定の値以上に乖離している場合に、前記第3のEGR率と前記第1のEGR率の差分に対応して前記第2のEGR率を学習補正することを特徴とする内燃機機関の制御装置。 - 請求項6に記載の内燃機関の制御装置において、
前記第4機能部による学習補正は、前記物理モデルで使用する前記EGRバルブの開口面積を補正することで実行されることを特徴とする内燃機関の制御装置。 - 請求項7に記載の内燃機関の制御装置において、
前記第4機能部による学習補正は、前記第3のEGR率が前記第1のEGR率よりも大きい場合、前記EGRバルブの開口面積を小さくする補正を実行し、前記第3のEGR率が前記第1のEGR率よりも小さい場合、前記EGRバルブの開口面積を大きくする補正を実行することを特徴とする内燃機関の制御装置。 - 請求項1乃至請求項8のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関の制御装置において、
前記EGR推定手段は、前記吸気系で結露が生じているかどうかを判定する結露判定機能部を備え、結露が生じている場合は前記第4機能部による学習補正を実行しないことを特徴とする内燃機関の制御装置。 - 請求項9に記載の内燃機関の制御装置において、
前記結露判定機能部は、前記吸気系の推定された水蒸気分圧が飽和水蒸気圧以上になった場合に、前記吸気系に結露が生じたと判定することを特徴とする内燃機関の制御装置。 - 請求項10に記載の内燃機関の制御装置において、
推定された前記水蒸気分圧は、前記吸気系の混合ガスの圧力と温度から算出されることを特徴とする内燃機関の制御装置。 - 請求項9に記載の内燃機関の制御装置において、
前記EGR推定手段は、前記結露判定機能部によって結露していると判定された状態で、前記第4機能部による学習補正が実行されていない場合、前記EGRバルブの開度を減少すると共に、点火プラグによる点火時期を遅角することを特徴とする内燃機関の制御装置。
