次に、図4を参照して、リングギア1の製造方法について説明する。
なお、今回開示された実施形態は、すべての点で例示であって制限的なものではないと考えられるべきである。本発明の範囲は、上記した実施形態および実施例の説明ではなく特許請求の範囲によって示され、さらに特許請求の範囲と均等の意味および範囲内でのすべての変更(変形例)が含まれる。

Claims (5)
- サンギアと、前記サンギアの径方向外側に配置され前記サンギアと噛合するピニオンギアとともにプラネタリギアユニットを構成するリングギアであって、
前記リングギアの内周面の少なくとも一部に前記ピニオンギアと噛合する内周歯が形成されており、かつ、前記リングギアの外周面の少なくとも一部に前記内周歯よりも硬度が低い外周歯が形成されており、
前記内周歯の表面の窒素濃度が、前記外周歯のうち少なくとも歯面の表面の窒素濃度より高い、リングギア。 - 前記リングギアの前記外周歯は、前記リングギアの径方向外側に配置されたクラッチディスクが噛合するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のリングギア。
- 円環状粗形材から内周面に内周歯を有し外周面に外周歯を有するリングギアの製造方法において、
前記円環状粗形材の内周面に前記内周歯が形成された中間体を形成する工程と、
前記中間体の全体に対して窒化処理を施して前記中間体の表面に窒化層を形成する工程と、
前記窒化処理が施された前記中間体の外周面における前記外周歯の形成を所望する部分に形成された前記窒化層を除去する工程と、
前記窒化層が除去された前記中間体の前記外周歯の形成を所望する部分に前記外周歯を形成する工程と、を備える、リングギアの製造方法。 - 前記窒化処理が施された前記中間体の外周面を周方向に凹凸が無い平滑面としておく、請求項3に記載のリングギアの製造方法。
- 前記リングギアの前記窒化層は、ガス軟窒化処理により形成される、請求項3または4に記載のリングギアの製造方法。
