Description
本発明の別の目的は、上記電解液を含むリチウム−硫黄電池を提供することである。
また、これを含むリチウム−硫黄電池を提供する。
本発明は、ポリドーパミン(Polydopamine)を含むリチウム−硫黄電池用電解液を開示する。具体的に、本発明によるリチウム−硫黄電池用電解液は、ポリドーパミンを含む非水系電解液であって、ポリドーパミン、リチウム塩及び非水系液体成分を含んで構成されている。
本発明による正極は、リチウム−硫黄電池の正極であって、正極活物質層及びこれを支持するための正極集電体を含むことができる。
1.電解液製造
1MのLiN(CF3SO2)2が溶解されたジメトキシエタンと1,3−ジオキソランを1:1の体積比で混合した溶液に、ポリドーパミン粉末を0.1重量%となるように添加して電解液を製造した。このとき、ポリドーパミン粒径は、精製によって400〜500nmのものを使用した。
硫黄/炭素複合体(S/C composite:Sulfur+Super−P=9:1)75重量%、導電材(Denka black)20重量%、及びバインダー(SBR:CMC=1:1)5重量%組成の正極合剤をD.I waterに添加して正極スラリーを製造した後、アルミニウム集電体にコーティングして正極を製造した。ただし、バインダーでSBRはスチレンブタジエンゴム(Styrene butadiene rubber)で、CMCはカルボキシメチルセルロース(Carboxymethyl cellulose)である。
実施例1と同様の方法でリチウム−硫黄電池を製造し、ポリドーパミン粉末が0.25重量%含まれた電解液を使用した。
実施例1と同様の方法でリチウム−硫黄電池を製造し、ポリドーパミン粉末が0.5重量%含まれた電解液を使用した。
実施例1と同様の方法でリチウム−硫黄電池を製造し、ポリドーパミン粉末が1.0重量%含まれた電解液を使用した。
ポリドーパミン粉末を含まない電解液を使用して、実施例1と同様の方法でリチウム−硫黄電池を製造した。
上記実施例1ないし4、比較例1によって製造されたリチウム−硫黄電池のシャトル抑制効果を確認するために、カットオフ電圧(Cut−off voltage)は1.5〜2.8V、C−rateは0.1 Cにして充放電テストを実施した。このとき、電極のローディングは1.223mAh/cm2であって、0.1C rateでテストする時の電流の大きさは0.188×10−6Aであり、これによる充放電テスト結果を図1ないし図5に図示した。
上記実施例1ないし4、比較例1によって製造されたリチウム−硫黄電池をそれぞれ0.1C/0.1Cで充電/放電を50サイクル繰り返しながら、各電池の放電容量(Specific discharge capacity)を測定した。図6に図示されたように、実施例1ないし4のリチウム−硫黄電池は、比較例1のリチウム−硫黄電池より初期容量が大きくて、寿命特性も向上されたことを確認したし、特に実施例3のリチウム−硫黄電池が最も優れた特性を示すことが分かる。

- ポリドーパミンを含むリチウム−硫黄電池用電解液であって、

上記電解液が、リチウム塩を含む、リチウム−硫黄電池用電解液。 - 上記ポリドーパミンは、平均粒径が200ないし600nmの粒子形態であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のリチウム−硫黄電池用電解液。
- 上記ポリドーパミンは、全体電解液の総重量を基準にして0.1ないし1.0重量%含まれることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のリチウム−硫黄電池用電解液。
- 上記電解液は、LiCl、LiBr、LiI、LiClO4、LiBF4、LiB10Cl10、LiB(Ph)4、LiPF6、LiCF3SO3、LiCF3CO2、LiAsF6、LiSbF6、LiAlCl4、LiSO3CH3、LiSO3CF3、LiSCN、LiC(CF3SO2)3、LiN(CF3SO2)2、LiNO3、クロロボランリチウム、低級脂肪族カルボン酸リチウム、4フェニルホウ酸リチウム及びリチウムイミドからなる群から選択される1種以上のリチウム塩を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のリチウム−硫黄電池用電解液。
- 上記電解液は、N−メチル−2−ピロリジノン、プロピレンカーボネート、エチレンカーボネート、ブチレンカーボネート、ジメチルカーボネート、ジエチルカーボネート、エチルメチルカーボネート、ガンマ−ブチロラクトン、1,2−ジメトキシエタン、1,2−ジエトキシエタン、テトラヒドロキシフラン(franc)、2−メチルテトラヒドロフラン、ジメチルスルホキシド、1,3−ジオキソラン、4−メチル−1,3−ジオキセン、ジエチルエーテル、ホルムアミド、ジメチルホルムアミド、アセトニトリル、ニトロメタン、ホルム酸メチル、酢酸メチル、リン酸トリエステル、トリメトキシメタン、ジオキソラン誘導体、スルホラン、メチルスルホラン、1,3−ジメチル−2−イミダゾリジノン、プロピレンカーボネート誘導体、テトラヒドロフラン誘導体、エーテル、プロピオン酸メチル及びプロピオン酸エチルからなる群から選択される1種以上の有機溶媒を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のリチウム−硫黄電池用電解液。
